MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Here is all you lovely readers Christmas present. A brand new chapter! Woohoo! I hope you enjoy it~ And I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the year!

When you woke the next morning, you wanted nothing more than to just fall back asleep and stay in the oblivion for eternity. A nice thought indeed. But memories of the last day crept up on your mind, sweeping your thoughts under a blanket of darkness and despair. Keeping you awake, keeping you from peace.

You didn't much appreciate your brain right now.

Heaving a huge sigh, you pushed your hand out from under the blanket, seeking out your phone. After feeling around for a bit, you located on the floor and quickly retracted your hand under the blanket, back into the warmth. Like an eel, darting out of it's cave for food before sliding back into it's home.

Yeah, you really didn't appreciate your brain.

Waking up your phone, you checked the time after being temporarily blinded before your eyes skimmed over the plethora of messages. Most were from you assorted monster friends, asking how everything went and how you were feeling. There was one missed message from Chris as well, with the accompanying voicemail above it. Seeing as it was already 10:42am, you decided it was probably time to get moving.

First, you responded to all your friends' texts, assuring them that you were fine and giving them an update on the situation. After that you listened to the brief voicemail from Chris, and through it you learn that he wanted you to call him as soon as you got the message. Very brief, but totally Chris' style. Deciding you'd rather call Chris back after waking up a bit.

So, as much as you'd like to stay in the warm comfort of Sans' bed, it was time to get up and face the day. Yes, you'd spent another time in Sans' room, but minus the punny skeleton. Last night he insisted you take his room, while he took the couch, despite the amount of protesting you'd done. You felt bad taking up his bed for another night, but Sans wasn't having it. Papyrus offered you his room as well, but you refused that because Papyrus was way too tall to sleep comfortably on the couch. In the end, Sans won out, and you spent another night in his room while he stayed downstairs. You honestly wouldn't have minded sharing the room again... which both terrified you and made you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

You know, your emotions weren't really you best friend right now either.

With a yawn, you stretched your hands over your head and arched your back to stretch, before letting go of a pent-up breath. You then stood and pulled a few items from the bags Mettaton brought yesterday, then headed out the room and to the bathroom. A hot shower was calling your name. As you headed down the hall, you peeked over the banister to scope out the situation downstairs. You could hear Papyrus banging around in the kitchen, while Sans was still curled up on the couch. Well, you thought Papyrus was in the kitchen. He could also be on the roof. It was hard to tell with the amount of noise he was making, and the fact that it could be coming either from right under you or right above you. As for Sans, you just assumed he was still sleeping, since all you could see was a blanket with something under it, not what was actually on the couch.

Slipping back into Sans' room, you dug through the bags Mettaton brought yesterday and pulled out a change of clothes, then headed down the hall towards the shower. You'd rather clean up a bit first before braving the day. In the bathroom, you glanced at the mirror, taking in the cut on your cheek once more. It wasn't as bad as it had been but was still very noticeable and the skin around it was still tinged red. With a heavy sigh, you hopped in the shower, letting the hot water wake you up and beat away the stiffness in your shoulders. Once you were done, you dressed and wrapped the towel around your wet hair in an effort to dry it off. Heading back into the hallway, you cast another glance over the railing and saw that the lump under the blanket on the couch was indeed Sans, as he was now half on the couch half on the floor with the blanket covering everything but the top half of his head. How he slept upside down you didn't know, but maybe as a skeleton he didn't have any blood to rush to his brain.
