JUSTIN'S POV

THURSDAY AT HOCKEY PRACTICE

"Listen up everyone!" I yelled in the locker room. "My girlfriend Jen is in the hospital with cancer, so I brought a piece of paper and was wondering if you would all sign it and write a note to her."

I heard a chorus of yes, yeah, and of course. I set the paper on a table and everyone signed it and wrote short notes.

THE NEXT DAY

I walked into school to see Chaz, Paris, and Ryan who was holding the piece of construction paper that I had everyone sign. "Paris, did you sign it?" I asked.

  "Yeah."

"The whole back of it!" Chaz exclaimed. Ryan flipped it over and I saw the words Paris was here and a big smiley face with a tongue sticking out. I couldn't help but laugh.

"She'll laugh so hard!" I told Paris.

  "I know."

"So are you going to see Jen tonight?" Ryan asked me.

"Do you guys promise not to tell my mom?" They nodded. "So when my mom thinks I'm at hockey practice, I'm actually going to go and see Jen."

"Dude, you know the hospital is an hour away from here right?" Chaz asked.

"I forgot about that. Can I just say I'm going over to your house, then going to practice, then I'll say I'm staying at your house for like two hours?"

  "Sounds good to me."

"Okay." I sent my mom a text and she replied and said it was okay. "She's okay with it."

AFTER SCHOOL

My mom was working when I got home so, I grabbed my guitar and left to go visit Jen. I drove about an hour until I got to the hospital, I also picked up some Arby's on the way because I knew Jen would like it. I walked to her room and knocked on the door, Jen's mom answered it.

"Hi Ju-" I put my finger to my lips because I wanted to surprise Jen. She motioned for me to come in and I walked right over to Jen.

  "How are you feeling Shawty?"

JEN'S POV

"How are you feeling Shawty?" I heard Justin ask. I quickly turned my head and saw him standing there with an Arby's bag and his guitar.

"Better now that your here," I replied.

"I brought you some Arby's. If you're allowed to eat it that is."

"She has no restrictions for eating," Mrs. Kowe said.

"Okay," I handed Jen her food. "And what do you mean by you have no restrictions on what you can eat?"

  "I just can't excercise, that's all."

  "Oh that stinks."

"Yeah. Hey why do you have your guitar?"

  "You want to know?"

  "Yes Justin I do."

"Okay, this is called Be Alright." He picked up his guitar and started to play and sing. "Across the ocean, across the sea, starting to forget the way you look at me now. Over the mountains, across the sky, need to see your face, I need to look in your eyes."

"Through the storm and through the clouds, bumps in the road and upside down now. I know it's hard, babe, to sleep at night. But don't you worry cause everything's gonna be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight, be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight. Throught the sorrow, and the fights, don't you worry cause everything's gonna be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight ."

"All alone in my room, waiting for your phone call to come soon. And for you, oh, I would walk a thousand miles to be in your arms, holding my heart. Oh I, oh I, love you. And everything's gonna be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight, be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight."

"Through the long nights, and the bright lights, don't you worry cause evrything's gonna be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight, be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight."

"You know that I care for you. I'll always be there for you. I promise I'll just stay right here, yeah. I know that you want me too, baby we can make it through anything cause everything's gonna be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight, be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight."

"Throught the sorrow, and the fights, don't you worry cause everything's gonna be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight be alright, ai-ai-ai-aight. Throught the sorrow, and the fights, don't you worry cause everything's gonna be alright."

  "Be Alright, huh?" I asked.

  "Yeah, why?" he asked confused.

"You always say that to me."

"It's inspired by you, all of the songs that I wrote so far are."

"Justin, you're so sweet, come here." He walked over to me and I opened my arms in a hug position. He opened his, too, and we hugged.

  "Shawty, hold tight," he whispered.

"I might never let you go," I whisered back. He pulled away, cocked his head, leaned in and gave me a peck on the lips. "I love you."

"I love you more," he said and went to sit down and eat his food. Then the door opened.

"Hi, Jen Justin couldn't be here because- Justin?" Pattie asked puzzled as she saw Justin.

  "Hey Mom," Justin said guitly.

"You're supposed to be at hockey practice."

"Oh that reminds me. Jen, I had everyone on my team sign this and write a note. Paris signed the whole back of it." He handded a me a huge piece of construction paper with names and notes.

"Thank you," I said with a smile on my face.

  "You're welcome."

  "Justin, hockey," Pattie repeated.

"I know I skipped and came here instead."

  "What about going to Chaz's?"

"That was just a cover because I'd get home later than when practice ends."

  "Justin, you're grounded."

"What?! I was doing something nice!"

"I know, but what if you got into a car accident or something happened to you."

"I'm sorry. But do I still get to keep my phone to talk to Jen?"

"Yes but you can't leave the house except to go to school and hockey."

  "Uh!"

"You got caught, sorry but you're grounded."

Pattie and Justin stayed at the hospital and visited for about an hour longer and then had to go home. Only one more week until I get to go home and see him everyday! And one more month until my 16th birthday!

A/N What did you think about me putting two song titles in this chapter? If you didn't recognize them, they were, Never Let You Go and Hold Tight :)
