A melody that is music to many people's ears also known as laughter can be heard here
Deep in my mind nostalgia overcomes me and I think back to how your lips puckered and you had your tongue stuck out
Your eyes crossed, your eyebrows scrunched
I remember your's and my own smiles of when we would find the other
And force the other out of their hiding spot
I remember the way the red, orange, yellow and brown leaves would elegantly float down
Only to be chased after when they were low enough to reach
After chasing and chasing they would be raked up into piles
Only for them to be a new hiding spot
Whenever the crunch, crunch, crunching made by my little feet can be heard
You would pounce from the pile as we play our little game of cat and mouse
Like we always did
I remember when our faces would light up as my mother would put us both in the sudsy, bubbly water
Giggling as we would play pretend and I pretend to be a marine biologist and you a merman
I remember being wrapped up in warmth as we cuddled in cotton blankets
Our limbs entangled with one another's
Moments like these I will chairish forever
