"Charlotte Wiley Lupin, get your backside at the table for breakfast!" (y/n) shouted.

"Five more minutes," Charlotte moaned, rolling herself up in her duvet.

"You said that two hours ago. Now, do as your mother says," Remus said, poking his head into Charlotte's room. "And you're meant to be at the Weasleys' by twelve."

"What time is it?" Charlotte asked sleepily.

"Half eleven," Remus stated.

"I'm up, I'm up," Charlotte said hurriedly, leaping from her bed and charging past her father at the door before bounding down the stairs.

The dining room was quite a small room - the family of three lived in Hope and Lyall Lupin's old tiny Welsh cottage in Cardiff, after all.

The cream walls were littered with moving photographs of birthdays, a wedding day, family holidays and other memories in time; a handful of the frames pictured people Charlotte didn't recognise. There were also bookshelves along two of the walls that were lined with textbooks, spell books, cookbooks and storybooks of all shapes, colours and sizes.

"At last," (y/n) sighed at her daughter, who was shovelling her cereal down as if it would disappear the next second. "Ooh, it's twelve degrees," she observed, after glancing at the contraption on the kitchen wall. It showed the weather conditions for the locations each member of the family were at. Currently, all three of their arrows showed that they were in Cardiff, and that the weather was dry, sunny, and twelve degrees Celsius.

"Heatwave," Charlotte sang sarcastically.

"It is for where we're living."

Light footsteps could be heard entering the room, signalling that Remus had returned from upstairs.

"Slow down, Lottie!" he exclaimed.

"Sorry, Dad, but moments like this call to eat as fast as George."

"I'll be off then," (y/n) said.

"Where you goin'?" Charlotte asked with a mouthful of food.

"Hogwarts," (y/n) replied, kissing Charlotte on the head. "I'm meeting the new Defence teacher and then I'll be planning events and lessons for the rest of the holiday."

"Whereas I'm in Portsmouth for the next month on another Ministry job," Remus said.

"Why don't you just get a Muggle job, Dad? It's not like they'd suspect anything if you go off ill every month," Charlotte suggested. "Didn't you say Granny worked in an insurance office or something?"

"I haven't got any Muggle qualifications," Remus told her.

"Set up a coffee shop or something then."

"No, Charlotte."

"I'm just trying to make life easier for you."

"Well, you're not. Now, hurry up and get dressed so we can go - we'll have to apparate to the Burrow now," Remus said.

Charlotte ran back up the stairs to get ready and pack her things for the next week, as well as her Hogwarts robes and equipment.

"Send an owl when you arrive," Remus told (y/n), giving her a quick kiss.

"Same goes for you," (y/n) said, walking out the door with her suitcase. "See you on the platform on the first, Lottie!"

"Bye!" Charlotte's muffled voice shouted.

"And behave for Molly and Arthur!"

"Yeah, yeah!"

"See you, love," Remus said as (y/n) walked out the door.
