"Remus, darling, could you make me a cuppa?" (y/n) asked.
Their classroom was silent and completely empty except for the Grindylow sat in its tank in the corner. There were no papers on the front desk in preparation for the first lesson of the day and there were no students in the corridor outside that needed to be let in.
"How would you like your tea, (y/n)?" Remus asked as the kettle whistled to him to let him know it was boiled.
"Just like me," (y/n) grinned from her cross-legged position on the table in the middle of the couple's office.
Remus turned to set the cups next to the kettle and put some teabags in before muttering, "Why would you put salt in your tea?"
"Oi," (y/n) shouted, throwing a crumpled piece of parchment at Remus' head before giggling. "You know what I meant."
"Extremely sugary because you're the sweetest wife on earth," Remus chuckled.
"So you do love me," (y/n) smiled, taking the hot beverage from Remus. "I don't need to get the divorce papers out yet then."
"Not quite yet. Not ever, I hope." Remus took a sip of his tea before leaning in closer to (y/n).
"No, definitely not," (y/n) replied, closing the gap between their faces.
"Any idea if it's Gryffindor and Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw and Slytherin today?" Remus moved closer.
"No clue in the slightest."
(y/n) attempted to take a sip of her tea but there was no room for her to lift the cup to her face.
"You know you're stopping me from drinking this, don't you?"
"I do apologise, how could I make it up to you?" Remus asked smoothly.
"I don't know," (y/n) said softly. She completely closed the gap between them as she sat right on the edge of the table. "Maybe," she murmured against his lips, "with a -"
The classroom door slammed open with such an almighty bang it sounded as though it had been blown up.
"MORNING!" a voice bellowed.
Remus, startled, stepped backwards quickly and almost spilt his tea all over himself whereas (y/n) squealed, jumped, fell off the table, but somehow managed to keep every drop of her tea inside her cup.
"How did you do that?" Remus laughed, helping her up.
"It's an art," (y/n) said simply, brushing her robes down before stepping down into the classroom with Remus behind her to sort out their class. "Charlotte Lupin, if you do that again I swear, I will not hesitate to hex you."
"I was just saying morning," Charlotte said, taking her books out of her bag whilst the rest of the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students came in and settled down.
"Meanwhile blowing up the classroom," Remus said with a raised eyebrow.
"I opened the door."
"Forcefully."
"Very forcefully," (y/n) added.
