Monday 7.00 A.M.

My alarm goes off. I open my eyes a little and look at my phone. 3 new messages. All of them are from Ellie.
'Are you still awake?'
'Guess not...'
'Goodnight Anna :)'
I smile as I read them. I must've fallen asleep during our conversation. We texted for 5 hours last night.
I look around and realize that my alarm is still going off. I can hear Jenny making breakfast downstairs and Mason opening his wardrobe. I hope he's going to wear another funny shirt. His shirts always have a funny sentence or drawing on them. I love his shirts.
I turn off my alarm and get up. I put on some clothes and head downstairs. Mason's already there and.. Yes, he's wearing a funny shirt. It has a drawing of a wedded husband and wife on it with the words 'game over' written underneath. I love it.
I eat my breakfast, make my backpack and put on my shoes. I'm not going to wear a jacket because it's going to be very hot today.
Mason and I get in his car and I tell him about Ellie, but for some reason I make it look like we're just friends. To me, Ellie is more than just a friend. I like he- no! What's wrong with me? I don't like her! She's a girl. I like boys. Boys like Michael and Mason.
When we arrive at school, my happy feeling disappears immediately. I can see Gavin and Clara from the other side of the parking lot. They turn their heads when I walk by, but they don't say anything. Probably because Mason's with me. I wish he wouldn't have to leave me.
We enter the building and Nancy and Sam walk up to me. Karla jumps in Masons arms. I guess they made up. We all talk for a bit, but then the school bell rings. Everyone leaves and I enter my classroom. Just when I want to sit down, I hear a chair getting moved and I fall on the floor. I look up and see Gavin and his friends standing behind me.
'That's my seat, dickhead', Gavin says with the chair in his hands.
All his friends start laughing. I get up and sit down in the back of the classroom. I hope nobody notices me. I hope I die right here, right now.
Mr. Van Kreakers walks in the room and I start thinking. My mind takes me to Ellie, Michael, Mason and even John, the man living under the bridge. The bridge. My bridge. I wish I was there right now. Drawing the view. Drawing Ellie. Flipping through my moms notebook. I still do that every time I open it to draw on the last pages.
*Triiiing*
The bell rings. Class is over and I didn't hear a single word my teacher said. I pack my things and go to the next classroom. Clara is standing outside the door. She stops me when I try to enter.
'Well, well, well. Look who we have here. If it isn't miss dickface herself', she says in an annoying tone.
'What do you want, Carla?'
It surprises me I didn't stutter. Carla looks me straight in the eyes and says:' I don't know what you were thinking about during class, but I'll find out. And boy, oh boy, will I use it against you.'
'What?'
'You were smiling the entire time. I don't like that. So stop doing it!'
She let's me go and I take a seat.
'Wow, without falling this time. You're learning so fast, dickface', Gavin says sarcastically. I ignore him while everyone starts laughing. The day goes on like this and I'm happy when I finally hear the final bell. Time to go home.
I run outside and look for Mason. He's not here yet so I go to his car and wait for him. I can see Clara and Gavin again. They're looking at me. I can tell they're planning something. After 5 minutes they and their friends come towards me.
'Hey dickface. Missed me?', Gavin asks.
Carla pulls my backpack off of my shoulder and starts emptying it out. I try to stop her put Gavin pushes me against Masons car. Clara takes out my phone and asks:' Who's Ellie? Did you make a friend, dickface? She texted you. She wants to know if you want to grab a frappuccino with her tonight.'
I can feel my cheeks turn red and I try to say something but my words don't come out.
'Well, we don't want you to have awkward silences when you're with Ellie, so why don't we come along?', Clara asks her friends.
No! This can't happen. I finally have someone who isn't embarrassed to hang out with me. I can't let them ruin this.
'Sure! I'll see you at 5', Clara says while typing on my phone,'Guess we're going out tonight, dickface.'
Clara puts my phone in her pocket and walks away with a smile on her face. Gavin let's me go and follows her.
I can't believe it. They've ruined 2 years of my life at school, I can not let them ruin my friendship with Ellie as well. I must do something. I need help. And I know exactly where to find it.
