While Svetlana slept, I was trying to avoid Gabriel. I walked around the castle out of boredom. I made my way outside to the garden. The sun was shining and it would be a nice Gabriel free place.

He had to torture me with children. Yes, I do want children and he took it from me. My plan was to stay with Navy until the end of the war. I wanted to fall in love with my prince charming and have my fairytale Hollywood wedding.

I need proof that vampires could bare children at one point. If it is in a book, I could believe it. There may vampires that may have been born of two vampires. I would like to talk to one.

I just sat down under a tree to watch the clouds in the sky. Gabriel wants to take feelings like this away from me. I did not know I fell asleep under the tree until I heard Gabriel calling my name.

"Rose! Rose! Where are you?"

Hearing Gabriel outside meant only one thing. I opened my eyes and the sun had set. I sat up and decided to give him a smart ass mark.

"I am taking a break from working on my tan. I will finish it tomorrow."

He spun around and walked over to where I am sitting. He actually looked like he is worried.

"Rose, I have been looking everywhere for you. Svetlana is out like a light. So is Pavel. I should have known you would have chosen the only place where I would be unable to get to you for several hours."

Gabriel has had me on an emotional roller-coaster for so long that I am ready to snap.

"Damn it, Gabriel, I am not your damn prisoner. I need fresh air and some place to think without you giving me another lecture on why I should let you take my soul away."

When I said this, I felt a pain in my head that I have never felt before. I felt lava bathing my entire head in its heat. The pain was so bad that it knocked me to the ground.

Gabriel was at my side. He claims the soul is my curse, but he is my curse.

He had my sitting back up and he looked into my eyes. He had a look of shock. He pulled my lip up slightly before I pulled away in pain. The cool air on my teeth ached.

"Rose, calm down."

I lisped out at him "Why do you want me to calm down? I...

The pain multiplied and it was worse than right before Gabriel claimed me.

It stopped I do not know how much later. When I came to, Gabriel looked worried.

"I think I know what is going on Rose. I think the demon is trying to expel the soul."

"You have lost it. I am fine now."

The man did not look convinced. The argument will continue."Rose, I am serious. I think that is what caused you to be in such excruciating pain before I marked you. Do you want this to happen again? I am sure the next attack the pain will be much worse."

"Not buying it Gabriel, I do not buy your reasoning at all. I am sure it has to do with something a little more logical. I am sure it is something like stress."

His arms crossed his chest and he did not look convinced.

"Rose, I am sure you are going to use all of your human medical logic. Some aspects of human medicine may work on you but most of it will not.

Do you want this to happen in front of humans? If a human sees you have one of those attacks you will be forced to go to a hospital. There is no human drug that will help this.

Rose, I know it is said that Marius' curse punished her with the pain worse than the fires of hell because she rejected her sire. I know it says that Vera would be punished with pain in having her soul removed as punishment. Rose, the pain would be a one time deal. You know I would never leave you alone.

Secondly; your need for the sun, you wanting to still wear makeup is superficial. Is that worth the pain? I do not think so."

Before Gabriel could continue, I heard someone running to where Gabriel and I are. It is Peter.

"Rose, I have been looking everywhere for you. Pavel and Svetlana are both curled up in pain. I came looking for you since you are the nurse."

Gabriel interrupted him. "Peter, something is wrong with all three of them. Whatever is affecting Pavel and Svetlana is what caused Rose to be in such pain. I think it is the soul causing this."

"Gabriel, it might be their souls or something else. Even if they ate food recently, it would not cause this."

I went inside to find my two friends. I went to Svetlana's room first. She was on the verge of tears.

"Svetlana, what is wrong?"

"Rose, it hurts. Something is not right. Go check on Pavel."

Even in the worst of pain, the loyalty that the two share is probably stronger than the bond Gabriel shared with his sister. Somehow it probably has to do with them being twins.

I found Pavel a few minutes later. He was locked up in pain. You could see the look of pain in his eyes. I could sense the two men behind me.

"Peter, I think it is their souls too. Why now?"

"I do not know and I know mates can remove souls and a direct family member can remove a soul. Pavel and Svetlana are as direct as they get."

"Peter, we need to know why now. I only thought it is the sire that can remove the soul."

I do not care about the damn theories. I care about my friends not being in pain.

"You did not know mates and direct relatives can remove souls? I will remove Svetlana's once I claim her and once we know what the hell is going on with the three of them. Convincing Svetlana to remove Pavel's soul will not be easy."

I dragged the two men down the hall by their ears. I did not want Pavel and Svetlana to hear this.

"The two of you will not be taking liberties with us. I will not let you hurt my friends."

"Rose, there's something seriously wrong with the three of you. It has to do with your souls. I do not want to see you in that type of pain again. Your well being is my priority since we are mates and I am your sire. I could have forced this while we were still back in Italy.

I have another theory for the pain. This might be bloodlust rearing its ugly head. If you go long periods of time without feeding, your body will react the same way you did. That pain will fuel the bloodlust. Until we know what is going on Rose, you need to stay away from humans. Pavel and Svetlana should too."

I can not believe what he is saying. I heard Svetlana cry out in pain again. I ran back to her room. She was sitting up and had her hands on her face sobbing.

"Svetlana, what is the matter?"

She removed her hands briefly. I knew what is wrong at that very moment.

"Rose, it hurts. My eyes hurt and my mouth hurt."

The fangs are out and her eyes were glowing bright blue in that pitch black room. She was sobbing on my shoulder because she hurt so much. I saw Gabriel and Peter standing in the doorway. Right now she is my concern, not them.

"Peter, go put in that call right now."
