As I walked, I couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of guilt at the words I said. But, just as I felt it, I quickly pushed away the feeling, knowing that what I said was the truth. 'I want absolutely nothing to do with Jason and his bad boy ways. I meant it when I said that I'm not interested, nor will I ever be. But then...why does my heart ache at the thought of wanting nothing to do with him? Why did it clench in pain when I saw the look of hurt in his eyes?' With my head held high, I continued walking on.

Jason's POV

With a heavy heart, I made my way to the Poseidon cabin, looking for a son of Poseidon who will, hopefully, not rub it in my face that he was right all along.

"Hey Perce, I need your help." I said open arrival and knocked on the door.

"What's up?" He said as he opened the door. I walked past him and into the cabin.

"You know, I hate it when you're right." Was the only thing I said as I sat on his bed. He didn't say anything as he processed what I said, with a look of confusion on his face. However, it only lasted a few minutes before a look of realisation appeared on his face and he had the audacity to smirk as he leaned up against the wall.

"This is about a certain daughter of Ares isn't it? (Name) being her name?"

"Quit screwing around, you know exactly what this is."

"I told you this would happen, but you were so sure that it wouldn't. Tell me, what happened?"

"We were talking and, I'd say it got rather heated on her end. She told me that I was testing her patience. Basically, to sum it up, she said that she isn't interested, nor will she ever be. When she said those words, something in me snapped, I actually felt hurt by her words. I hadn't understood why, but then I really thought about it. It's just like you said, I've fallen for her. Dam it." I whispered the last two words as I clenched my fist, hating how much this is affecting me.

"She must really be someone different."

"She is, I just never realised until it was too late."

"So prove to her that she isn't simply a plaything. Prove to her that she's different from all the rest."

Now, how am I going to do that when she wants absolutely nothing to do with me?"

"Dude, I can't help you there. You brought this upon yourself, if you want her you gotta prove to her that you're no longer the guy who plays around with girls. You've gotta show her that you can be committed and faithful and that you won't pursue any other girls while being with another. To sum it up, you've gotta change dude."

"It's not that simple."

"Then make it simple. I can't do much but offer advice, what you do with it is up to you." Nothing else was said as I processed his words.

It wasn't long before I left the cabin, with so many thoughts swimming through my mind like tidal wave. 'I've gotta change in order to win the one girl who has made me feel differently than all the others? And Percy says it's simple, he is out of his mind. But...maybe he's right. Maybe I really do need to change in order to show (Name) that I'm not that guy anymore, the one who chases after girls only to play with them before dumping them.' I was brought out of my thoughts as I felt my body collide with someone else's.

"I'm sorry." They said, and my heart sped up at the sound of her voice. However, before I could say anything, she spoke again. "Oh, never mind then, I'll just be on my way." Before she could walk away, I gently grabbed her hand, stopping her from walking away.

"No, I'm sorry (Name), I should've been watching where I was going." I couldn't help but scratch the back of my neck, a feeling of nervousness coursing through my body, a feeling I am unfamiliar with. "Anyway, I'll leave you to it, I'm sure you have better things to do."
