Too Lazy to Give a Name So Chapter Two

"You seriously found a nice chick from the internet who you like after only two days?" My friend's ash brown hair dangled a little outward from his face when he asks.

"If you put it like that, it sounds way worse than it actually is. Also, we have been talking for an entire day and a half, so that means I actually talked to her more than a middle-schooler talking to their crush for a week. And just to say, she's not some 'nice chick', her name's Kai." I bitterly talk back to him, looking up towards his face. It's been two days since I met Kai on the chatting website as you probably know and we've been talking almost nonstop. But now, it is dreadfully now time for school, and the first person I walk into after separating from my sister, is of course, my oh so dear friend, Riley.

Riley Carter, the guitarist of our music group, and practically my best friend. He reminds me of Kano (from you know what), but really he's basically the kid in school who... actually, he really is just Kano (look him up if you wanna know). It's honestly hard to explain him so I'm just gonna give the character description from Wikia that fits him.

Ahem, Outwardly, Kano has an unfocused, aloof personality and always has a smile on his face. Because he teases Marry, Momo, and Kido a lot, he's often considered to be a flirt- but when it counts, he's worth relying on.

Just get rid of the whole flirt and teasing the girls part, but he does tease me a lot, mainly because I'm short and look like a girl despite me being a guy. Though, at least he sorta teases the others too.

He really is good at guitar too, but everyone in our group is talented either way. When me and Cora met him in fourth grade, he was already much more advanced than a normal grade-schooler would be. He never really pays mind to his gift though, all Riley ever does is hang out with his friends, including me, but he's not really talkative at the same time. It's as if he watches people from afar, while making slight commentary of course.

His reaction to Kai was fairly normal, he stood there (or walked in our case) with a blank face, until he starts cracking up and bursting into laughter.

"Wow, you seriously need someone for your life, don't you?" He kept on with his amusement.

"Well, at least I have a better chance than my sister," I snap back.

"Eh, guess you're right," he agreed with a devious grin. " So," he paused, "what did you guys talk about?"

I look at him in disbelief. "Don't you know the number one thing I talk about?"

Riley actually face palmed himself from his idiocy, "Of course she likes KagePro. What does she like from there?"

"Oh, her favorite character is Seto which I think is pretty interesting, her favorite song is either Lost Time Memory or Moon-Viewing Recital, which she thinks that song is underrated but to be honest I think Gunjou Rain is the most underrated. Shounen Brave is a close second since it sounds very nice and actually sorta light hearted. She's not the biggest reader so I recommended the manga. She's almost as traumatized as me when it comes to episode nine of Mekakucity Actors," I keep listing on what I've learned from her as Riley looks at me somewhat annoyed until he spoke again.

"So, if you ever somehow meet her in real life, if she's not some grown up pervert only pretending to be 'Kai', do you expect her to be taller than you?" His question was said with a mocking tone. This honestly made me embarrassed and I gave a slight blush as I looked to the side.

"To be honest, that's probably very likely..." I felt a little disappointed in myself since it actually is true. Currently, I am five feet tall, and most people in the grade are at least a good three inches taller than me, as well as more than half of the seventh graders. Heck, Cora's even an inch taller than me. The only reason that my parents can think of for the lack of height is due to my great-grandma on my dad's side, who was a major midget apparently.
