Deanna Winchester had been a hunter her entire life, or at least since her mother died at the hands of a demon when she was four. She hunted with her dad John and her younger brother Sam until Sam ran off to college.
Deanna let her brother go for a few years, but when their father went missing, she went to get him from college. They searched for him, and killed many a monster along the way. Among some of the monsters they battled were Azazel, Lilith, Lucifer himself, Eve, And most recently, Abaddon (AN: this is set in season 9 when Dean or Deanna gets The Mark Of Cain).
Deanna, in an attempt to kill Abaddon, takes on The mark Of Cain from Cain after proving herself worthy to him in a fight with demons. Crowley goes to search the ocean for the First Blade and Deanna to deal with the Mark. She meets up with Sam and tells him about the Mark.
Deanna used the mark to kill Abaddon, but it began to effect her mind and body, and that's where this story begins.
