Aunt Kindle's Shack•Day 1•11:57

"I'll pay for it." Caden said with a smile.

I roll my eyes. "You don't have to. I can-"

"I insist." He says looking into my eyes.

I sigh and nod, giving in.

He puts a credit card in the check and hand it back to the waitress. Her shoes click against the wood floor as she walks away. Caden looks back at me.

"Thanks for letting me stay and sit" he said with a small smile.

"I wasn't just going to send you away." I say.

"You could have." He said simply.

I was tempted to tell him I like his company, his jokes, his smile, his eyes. But I didn't. Like I said. I didn't want to get attached. Although I knew I already am.

I realize that as we walk to my jeep. As he types his number in my phone and I type mine into his. As we give an awkward wave as I get into my jeep. And as I pull out the driveway of Aunt Kindle's Shack.

The road is strait as I start to drive down it. I pull up my map and turn it off as I see I have miles to drive on this road.

Side of the Road•Day 1•1:06

So I am yet again pulled over on the side of the road. No, I don't have a flat tire. No, I didn't run out of gas. But there was a pond. I pulled over and grabbed my camera.

Now I am checking my pictures of the reflection of the sky in pond.

Something moves in the bushes. I look from the camera to the bush. I squat holding my camera. A small fox sticks it's head out. I look at it in aw. I make sure the flash is off and take a picture of it.

It looks at me and I can see it think about running. Evidently he isn't afraid of me. The fox slowly walks up to me and sniffs my camera as I take pictures of it. I watch as it grows bored of the camera and starts to sniff me. I set my camera down and sit down now. The fox sniffs my arm and I feel it's whiskers tickle my arm.

It grows board of me at walks off towards the pond. I pick up my camera slowly and take pictures of the small fox as drinks from the pond and then disappears into the bushes again.

I start to check the pictures with a smile. They look better than I expected.

I stand up and brush off my back. I close my eyes and smell the Alaskan air before walking back to the jeep. I hop into the drivers seat and set my camera in the other seat. I pull onto the road and start driving again.

Road•Day 1•6:16

It's sort off weird driving at 6:00 and not having the sun be setting.

It's May. That means the sun sets somewhere around 10:30 here.. that's going to be odd.

Bear Shack Inn•Day 1•9:26

I collapse onto my bed. It's a surprising nice bed for a small hotel. I was supposed to get there and hour ago. But I get side tracked.. a lot.
