Cabin number 5 steps•Day 3•11:56
The hike down the mountain wasn't as awkward as the hike up it. We got back to the cabins around lunch.
"We should head inside to eat." Caden says looking at me with his green eyes.
"Alright. But I need to put my stuff up." I say heading up the stairs of my cabin.
"Can set my stuff inside?" He asks following me up the stairs.
I pause for a moment. It wasn't a mess inside so I assumed it was fine.
"Ok." I say simply.
I unlock the door and push it open. I walk inside and set my book bag down on my bed. Caden follows me in and walks to the glass doors. I look over at him.
"What is it?" I ask seeing him staring aimlessly out the window.
"You have a better view than me." He said looking back at me.
I roll my eyes and lean down to my boot. Silently I slip the small knife, that I was holding in my sock, out.
"What is that for?" Caden asks taking a step back
"Ok so I may have over reacted. But you could have been a serial killer who tried to kill me on the hike." I say setting the small pocket knife on the side table.
Caden let's out a small, relived, sigh.
"Who looks like the serial killer now?" He asks quietly.
"Very funny." I grumble looking up at him.
"Come on, let's go eat." Caden says walking towards the door.
I stood up from the bed and glanced at the pocket knife. I looked at Caden and decided to leave it.
Main House•Day 3•12:04
For lunch there were sandwiches, soup, and an assortment of different drinks. Both Caden and I had picked up a sandwich and had sat down at a table for two.
"What do you want to drink? I can go grab them." I say looking at his as he sits down.
"If they have it, lemonade." He said "and an orange." He added.
I nodded and walk over to the drinks. I pick up two lemonades because lemonade sounds good. I snag an orange and set the drinks on the table before sitting down.
"Thanks." He said and take the orange and starts to peels it.
I sit down and take a bit of may sandwich. We sit in a content silence as we both eat. A few moments passed and I stood up.
"Where are you going?" Caden asks leaning back in his chair as he looks up at me.
"I can go places without you. Your not my bodyguard." I say with a small smile. I pick up my book-bag and take my camera out.
"I'm just curious."
"I'm going to take pictures of the chickens out back." I say simply.
