Few Weeks Later
My mom fixes us the hospital bed as I put on my shoes, as of today I am cured and I am so excited to go home and I've my life with Katniss, right now she's getting my mom and I and herself some lunch, my doctor walks in with a smile and a clipboard
"The cure was able to wipe out the entire disease in your system, it's 100% gone and it is highly unlikely it'll ever come back" the doctor says and I smile, this is such great news! I can't wait to tell Katniss, she'll be so excited and I'll be able to see our baby born. I walk outside the hospital and go for a walk but not too far from the hospital, hopefully I can bump into Katniss and tell her everything!. As I go to cross a road I see a car speeding towards me and before I can even move out of the way it hits me and I see nothing but darkness.

My eyes finally open and I look around at my surroundings, where am I? I don't remember anything
"Peeta honey. Thank god you're awake" a lady says
"W-who are you?" I ask scared, I don't know her and she's calling me honey...
"Peeta... I'm your mother"
"But... I don't have a mother. Only a father" I state and then another girl runs in much younger and quite pretty
"Oh thank god your safe" she sighs
"Who are you?" I ask and she looks at me hurt, did I hurt her feelings?
"Peeta... I'm Katniss, I'm your fiancé and I'm carrying your child" she explains
"But I never had a fiancé" and I start to panic, what's happening? Why are these people claiming things that aren't true?! And I start to feel dozy and my eyes start to fall shut.
Third Person POV
"When Peeta was hit by the car it injured a part of his head where he's forgotten and his memory is all fuzzy short term memory loss or amnesia now luckily he got part of it lost which we can get back with this special drink we make and support from his loved ones" he explains to Katniss and Peeta's mother, both of them very understanding and agrees to help, then a nurse comes running out
"Doctor. It's patient Mellark, he's gone" she pants, they all run to Peeta's room and see that the bed is indeed gone, Katniss starts to cry as Peeta's mom hugs her and stays strong, they go to the security office and look at the footage and see a blonde haired nurse taking his bed out, the doctor calls the police and then the doctor settles the two down as they wait for the police to come.
Meanwhile Peeta is taken to a house and taken down in a basement, he starts to wake up expecting to be in hospital but he's chained down to his bed, he tries to get out but sees a figure in the shadows
"Who are you? Show yourself" he says and a blonde woman steps out in a nurse costume
"I'm Delly. Don't you know who I am?" She replied and he shook his head
"Well I was your best friend in high school till that slut Katniss came along and stole you, you were just too blind with loving her that you forgot about your best friend and when word got out that you two had sex the whole school worshipped you both and you forgot about me who was on the sidelines over hearing people say how cute you two are or the guys saying how lucky Peeta was to have such a banging girlfriend" she explains
"So she is my girlfriend?" He questioned and Delly scoffs
"Fiancé actually. She's having your kid. The funny bit is that you don't remember her, so that kid will grow up without a father" she laughs... baby? If she's having my baby I can't let her go through it alone he thought
"You need to let me go. I don't remember her but she can't go through it alone, I need to remember her" he begged
"No way. You're not going anywhere. I'm not letting you go till you remember me" and Delly just left him down there.
It must've been days, even weeks that Peeta was down there while Delly brought him food, everyday Peeta didn't come close to remembering his old best friend, he just wanted to go back to the hospital and remember his old life.
Katniss and Peeta's mother have been staying at a near by motel as neither of them are able to go home knowing Peeta isn't safe, Katniss would be crying herself to sleep while hugging Peeta's journal and his mother never slept, she was worried about her baby boy.
It was weeks later till the police got a call, it was a next door neighbour to Delly who had claimed she saw Delly pushing a hospital bed into and outside shed, Katniss and his mother got a call from the police station and they went to the hospital to tell the doctor the news and everyone got ready and waited for the police officers.
The police officers reach the residents of Delly and they knock on the door she soon gets a scared look on her face at seeing the policemen
"Ms Cartwright we got a call saying you are keeping a patient from the hospital here" one says
"I am not keeping a patient here"
"Then do you mind if we check in every room?"
"It's a bad time an---" she's interrupted as they barge in while showing her the search warrant and a whole lot of officers go in searching upstairs and down, one officer finds the hospital bed and they eventually find Peeta who was screaming trying to get their attention.
When Peeta was taken to the hospital he was check for foul play or if he was suffering from anything but they found nothing dangerous only his amnesia. As the days moved on Peeta would have to drink this drink while reading his journal and looking at pictures with his family and friends, day by day he slowly started to remember things and he eventually remembered everything.
Seven months later Katniss had given birth to their beautiful baby girl which brought tears to Peeta's eyes as he believed she was the most beautiful baby he'd ever laid eyes on and so Katniss and Peeta continued to get married and eventually have more children, their lives had turned out just like they'd hoped and life for them had never been better.
