You took a deep inhale of breath, breathing in the beautiful scent coming from the ocean, while planting your foot deeper into the white sand. You pressed your palms further into the sand around you as you sat cosily on them. You have always loved the beach, the scent of sea, the soothing sound of waves crashing in and out, the soft sand slipping between your bare toes, the calmness and peace that they offer, which became the reason why you would always come here whenever you needed an escape from your restless nights.
Though starting from this day forward, the way you look at your little safe haven might change.
It had been one hour since you arrived at the beach and sat down on the sand. You did arrive a little earlier than you were supposed to, but you still had to wait even longer after the designated time of your date. And the wait had only been causing you to contemplate whether it was a good decision for you to come here or would it be a terrible mistake.
You had settled for the latter, yet you still decided to stay.
You were in the midst of enjoying the soothing breeze when you heard footsteps coming from behind you. Then a thud disrupted the sand close to you as someone carefully sat next to you with a huff.
