Epilogue I
The familiar wooden door was opened instantly after you merely gave a few soft knocks, and a familiar grin welcomed you from the other side the moment he came into your view.
"Well, fancy seeing you here," he said, the content look in his eyes changed immediately into a look full of mischief the moment he saw your face. Your mind was too occupied with questions and doubts that you had no words to respond to him, opting to walk past by him to enter his office quietly instead.
"I actually thought that you were going to reject the job offer since I haven't gotten any news from you at all the last two weeks," he lightly spoke as he followed you close behind right after he shut the door, while you kept walking straight to his desk without looking back at him.
You stopped right in front of his desk, keeping your back facing him to hide the nerves showing on your face. Placing both of your hands on top of his working desk, you felt the slick wooden top with the tip of your shaking fingers to calm your nerves down.
"I'm—not here to answer the offer, Hoseok."
"Oh, is that so?" he said as he walked closer to you. Soon you could feel how close he was standing right behind you by the feeling of warmth on your back. But you kept staring down and away from him instead of responding, no matter how much you wanted to drown yourself in his presence. "Then what is the purpose of you coming here, besides seeing me?"
