I was by the staircase with my cousin, Claudia, talking about getting my grade from last school year. She's always been by my side ever since we were born, thank G she never gets tired of me being silly sometimes. #cousingoals ba kamo? Eme lang, haha. My grade is for my varsity this year. I'm so thankful kasi above 85 lahat ng grades ko from 1st - 4th grading, so it means tuloy tuloy pa rin pagiging varsity ko since 7th grade. Last first day of senior high ko na 'to, my golly. Ang bilis ng oras! College na din ako next year, wooh! Someday guys, you'll see me on TV advertising De La Salle University. Malay niyo, ako na ang next Jeron Teng. Joke lang. Libre lang mangarap, hahaha!

"Yes naman, 'di na nagbago ang favorite cousin ko ah!", Claudia says, giggling.

"Well, you know naman cous, it's for my college scholarship.", I said.

"Good to know. Buti nga hindi ka yung mga katulad ni Castillo eh.", medyo dismaya yung tone ng voice ni Claui nung sinabi niya 'yan. Castillo?  Yung papogi na mamaru. (mamaru means nagmamarunong for short, sorry to judge but it's true) I remember that guy from this morning na nangbastos ng girl sa class namin, and that girl happens to be our student body pres. I stood up for my best friend's name, Josh, even though he doesn't study here anymore. I really believe in the saying that whoever defends your name when you're not around, are the realest gals.

"Alam mo, bwisit talaga yung lalaking 'yon. If it wasn't for him, nandito pa sana si Josh.", sabi ko, with an annoyed voice.

Ito kasi yun, nagkaron ng tatlong sanctions si Josh kaya napatalsik siya ng school officials na dapat si Miguel ang dapat nakakuha nun. Nag away sila because of Miguel's attitude of being so mahangin + nagbalak na agawin si Sophie kay Josh. Mabait talaga si Josh, huwag mo lang talaga pikunin o asarin ng todo. Since Miguel was the star player of the soccer team, si Josh yung nawalan ng pwesto sa mga magagaling na players + sa honor roll. Umabot sila sa suntukan na hindi ko napaawat si Josh dahil sa sobrang galit niya. In the end, ang sinabi ni Josh kay Sophie na reason kung bakit hindi na siya pumapasok is that he went to US, kaya sila nag break. Ayaw na ayaw ni Sophie na may nagsisinungaling sa kanya. Josh only did that to protect Sophie from getting involved on that incident, or else hindi siya magiging president.

"Buti sana siya yung nawala instead of Josh eh, kawawa si Sophie.", Claudia said, frowning.

"I agree. Oh siya, daan muna ako sa locker ko. Thanks Claui!", was the last thing I said before heading to my locker.

From the encounter this morning, I really felt the shame Sophie was feeling. I wanted to reach out for her, but I didn't. That was really ungentleman-ly. Eh, sino ba naman ako para gawin yun?Hay, but still. I should've done that, as Josh's best friend.

As I went to my locker, I took a deep breath and said to myself,

"You'll get through this, Ms. President, I got you."
