When Casey James has an idea, you should never go along with it.

So when said girl thought it would be a good idea to move in with her aunt and cousin who, by the why, live in another city, obviously her parents had some concerns.

Or, sorry, parent.

Almost a month ago, Casey James lost her mother in a car accident. Her dad never seemed to be the same, but hey, neither was CJ.

She broke even more, when her best friend, the person who has always been by her side, moved away. To another town.

So she thought if she too moved away, it would help her. She could start a new life.

Start fresh

So she called up cousin Betty and Aunt Alice and told them the situation, and while they were shocked, they thought it would be a good idea.

So here she is, Casey James, about to hail a taxi, with Betty at some "date" as she put it on the phone and Aunt Alice at work, no one else was able to pick her up.

Goosebumps suddenly appeared on the young girls skin when the taxi driver pulled up on the driveway of her new home.

Aunt Alice promised she'll be home by 8:30pm latest, and it was currently 8:55.

Oops?

As you can probably tell, Casey is very punctual.

Stepping out of the weird smelling yellow car, and picking up her suitcase, Casey had that feeling. You know, the one where someone is watching you.

Turning around, she just manages to catch a glimpse of someone turning away quickly from the house across the street.

Weird.

Rolling her eyes and shaking her head, CJ walked up to the front door and walked right in (it was unlocked) and was surprised to see

Nothing.

Because it's all dark.

Seems like no ones home.

Wow. But, being the badass she is, CJ kept walking, but had a heart attack when someone touched her shoulder.

"Boo." It whispered.
