"So, what? Will I drop you to the nearest police station? Ba't ka nila hinahabol?" I said, at medyo binagalan ang takbo. Minsan lang maging maluwag ang daan dito kaya nanghihinayang ako, I should be over a hundred by now kaso nga lang may kasama kasi ako, and worse, hindi ko pa kilala! I shuddered with the thought. Hindi ko din alam kung anong pumasok sa isip ko at isinakay ko siya sa sasakyan ko! He doesn't look like a criminal but who would know, diba? He's all covered up. Zach will probably kill me when he knew about  this. 

I missed driving my Nadiana. It was metallic, double-colored matte purple and blue. I was pretty hands-on with its customization. I was also intricate with the interior design. Minsan ko lang 'to ginagamit, baka mahold-up ako. Andami kong ginastos dito! Come to think of it, I have never used this to school. Maybe one of these days I will.

Why did I let a stranger in again? Ah. Naawa kasi ako, nagpapanic siyang lumabas eh. A crowd went chasing for him. Matatawa na sana ako kaso mukhang kaawa-awang nilalang ang isang ito eh. Natawa ulit ako dahil nanlalaki ang mata niya.

"Don't tell me, nagnakaw ka talaga? Or are they all your admirers?"

I glanced at him- syempre nagd-drive ako alangang titigan ko siya- at ganon pa din ang mata niya. Nanlalaki pa din. Shock, confusion, I don't know.

Omg. Omg. Omg! Hindi kaya magnanakaw talaga siya at nahuli ko siya! Omg. Baka sabihin nung mga babaeng nanakawan niya na kasabwat niya ako! Shit. Bahala na!

"Hoy! Ano ba?! Are you sick? Mute? Can't you talk?! Tanggalin mo nga yang suot mo! Don't tell me magnanakaw ka talaga?! Idederetso kita sa station ng police--"

Napatigil ako sa pagsigaw ng matawa siya at saka tinanggal ang suot niyang mask at cap.

Which made me stare at him. For three seconds lang naman!

Trousled hair, glowing cheeks, pointed nose, firm lips... brown eyes.. Pero mukha siyang laging puyat. Eyebags are evident. Looks can be deceiving pero honestly! Hindi to mukhang magnanakaw! I told you.

He grinned at me when he saw my reaction.

"You know me?" he asked, doubtful. "If you have questions in mind, go. Ask me. Pero baka mabangga kasi tayo eh"

"Ahh" I looked back at the road and shut my eyes fast, tightly. I just nearly drooled over him.

"Am I familiar?" he asked, and I looked at him. He's grinning now.

"Familiar?" I said. "Wanted ka ba?!"

"What? No, no. I'm not a snatcher or thief or whatsoever." he said calmly, pero naiinis na 'to, I bet.

"Sorry, I don't know you. Maybe we haven't met." I said.

"You.. Don't know... Me...?" he said slowly. "Taga ibang bansa ka ba?"

"Bakit?" Napakunot ang noo ko at sumulyap ulit sa lalaki sa tabi ko.

"You seriously-- wait are you serious?!"

Hala. Akala ko magj-joke siya. Laboooo! Eh kasi marami akong naririnig sa entertainment na ganyan eh. Magsasabi ng isang line tapos sagutin ng BAKIT then bam! Yun na.

Hmf.

"Do I need to know you, by the way?" I said suspiciously.

He smiled. "No. You don't need to know me. And I'm not a thief, okay?" natatawa niyang sabi.

"Pfft. Okay, okay. I'm sorry."

"And I'm Tristan Dreidialla."

"Oh. I'm Alexandra Giovanni Lamenstre."

Napakunot ang noo niya. "Lamenstre?"

Kumunot rin ang noo ko. "Yea. Why?"

"Nothing. Sounds familiar."

"Hehe parang 'Your face sounds familiar' doon sa TV." sabi ko.

"Ba't di mo kilala?" Bulong nito. "Nanonood ka naman ng t.v."

Hindi na kami nagusap ulit. It wasn't an awkward silence pero hindi din naman siya comforting. So far, wala pa naman siyang ginagawang masama sa akin. But I still kept in mind where to find my pepper spray or my stun gun, and the moves I will make if he decides to mess with me. Syempre 'no. He may look innocent pero baka hindi talaga and I've known this man for just 24 minutes. I dropped Tristan to the terminal, siya na daw bahala. He thanked me and we exchanged numbers. This is so new to me! I got home, 10:45 am on the clock. Bumungad sa akin si Zach na seryoso.

"Oh? Di mo nabasa note ko? Sorry--"

"If you're going to make a decision, please tell me. Para alam ko din kung papaanong pagaadjust ang gagawin ko." sabi niya.

I almost dropped my frappe. Yes, nakadalawa ako. Hehe. Coming back....

WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?!

"Get ready, aalis tayo ng 11:30." sabi niya at umalis na.

"H-hey! Zach!" tawag ko.

"Make it fast, I don't wanna be late." He said coldly and walked until he was out of sight.

Did he already know? I hope not.
