While writing the For Always Series, I got writer's block. To clear my mind, I took a week to write a little ghost story... and that story was "Haunted". Not wanting to publish it, but also not wanting to have wasted my time writing it only to let it sit all alone on my computer with nobody to read it, I knew Wattpad would be the perfect place to give it a new home.
The very next weekend, I became extremely sick with the flu and pneumonia. Needless to say, I was bedridden and on a lot of medication for several days. During that time, my birthday, actually, my phone exploded with notifications. My husband finally handed it to me and was like, "I don't know what's going on, but you need to check this and turn the ringer off."
Knowing I wasn't popular enough to be getting so many birthday wishes, I looked at my notifications and... yeah, it was Wattpad. I had no idea what was going on and became a little freaked out, so I opened them and realized that "Haunted" had not only been read and voted on several thousand times within just a few days, but Wattpad had even made it a Feature Story. If I hadn't been so doped up I would've probably danced around my room, which I randomly do quite often, anyway, but especially for good news.
As of today, this story has over half of a million reads and I'm so thankful for that. I'm thankful for YOU and the fact you've taken the time to read my words.
