When anxiety starts
Your breathing stops
Cold veins pulsing
Felt through clammy hands
Hair on the ground
Ripped out with your thoughts
Pills that taste like candy
And detached limbs shaking
With the might of an earthquake
Rumbling up from the chest
Ripping through the nerves
Muscles contracting
Tight throats closing
Fear taking overBut you can't let that happen
Glistening eyes drying
Lips count back from ten
Lungs cleared of poison
Now you know when
Anxiety gets the best of you
You can't let it win
