As Elijah, Klaus, and Lucy all sat around the library, reading and listening to classical music in front of the dead girl, Rebekah and Angel walked in, both glowing, until they saw the sight before them.

"So this is what you do the first time we're back together as a family ― vampire book club." Rebekah scoffed, looking toward her brothers and then her angelic counterpart. "Remind me why I came back here, Angel?"

"Reading edifies the mind, sister." Klaus stated with a smirk as he turned a page. "Isn't that right, Elijah?"

"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus." The darker original responded.

"And what's this business?" Angel asked, looking at the dead girl on top of the coffee table.

"A peace offering from Klaus to Elijah," Lucy answered, knowing that her brother was mainly directing the question in her direction. "Don't worry, she died quickly."

"How kind of you, sister."

"I presumed, that after so much time my brother spend desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish."

"So I explained to my little brother that forgiveness cannot be bought, but accepted his offer with the promise that he would show personal growth and not be an ass."

"Well, I suppose that I'll fetch the rubbish bin because she's staining a 200 year old carpet."

Looking down, the five saw that she was, indeed, staining the carpet and flinched a little bit. Then, in walked Hayley, who gained the attention of all those in the room, who quickly exited for the kitchen. Standing up, Elijah made his way in there as well.

"He may see her," Klaus stated with nonchalance. "But not in the way that you perceive."

Seeing that Rebekah and Angel had now gone off to find some cleaning supplies, and that it was only them, Lucy put down her book and looked at the blond man.

"How can you be sure?" She asked tentatively. "She's... beautiful. I would choose her as well."

"Because in all my years of being that man's brother, I can assure you, that he has never been more infatuated with any woman like he is with you, Lucifer."

"Please don't get my hopes up, Klaus."

"I wouldn't dare."

Smiling at one another, the two went back to reading as Rebekah dragged the body out of the room.

"Why don't you go see him?"

"...I think I might." Lucy decided placing her book down and standing up. "You're a lot kinder than people make you out to be, Klaus."

"Don't let them find out."

Giggling, Lucy made her way into the kitchen where Elijah and Hayley were, rummaging through the fridge while the woman ranted.

"-And I was nearly murdered by witched who are convinced that my baby is Lucifer."

"Sorry, I'm already on this earth. Your baby will have to find another title."
