"Not joining the festivities, eh?" Klaus asked, watching as his dear friend watched the Casket Girls celebration in awe.

"No," She answered, staring down at all the women in their wedding dresses. "I can't."

"And why is that?" Klaus asked, a teasing smirk on his face. "Don't want Elijah getting any ideas, hmm?"

Lucy's jaw dropped at his comment, making her turn around and face the hybrid. He, on the other hand, found his comment to be quite hilarious, indeed.

"What?" He asked rhetorically, grinning down at his friend. "Don't think I didn't see that little kiss you shared, love. Because believe me, I wasn't missing that action for the world. It's about time you two finally took that first leap!"

"Klaus!" She whined, mortified that he witnessed the events that took place between her and his brother. "Stop!"

"Oh, alright, alright," He chuckled, stepping closer to the girl, and wrapping an arm around her frail shoulders. "Speaking of brothers, where's yours? The incessant pain in the ass, that is. Not the other, much nicer one that I have yet to meet, and look forward to meeting."

"Last time I checked, he was helping Hayley get into her wedding dress for the Casket Girl function. They've been getting closer, I've noticed."

"Ah, yes. Just what I needed: the two biggest pains in my ass, fraternizing with one another," The blond rolled his eyes. "But pray tell, why aren't you joining her?"

"Because I need to stay hidden." She stated, looking up at him. "A secret weapon isn't so secret if she's caught gallivanting around New Orleans where every vampire in the city can see her."

"Well, no offense, love, I do mean this in the most friendly way possible, but..."

"'But...' what?"

"With the way you look, I don't think that anyone who could see you would think you out of the ordinary." He shrugged. "Well, at least for today, that is."

"Klaus, no offense to you either, but I beg to differ. If you haven't noticed, I've got a pretty distinct look going on."

Silent for a moment, Klaus placed a hand on the small of Lucy's back and lead her back over to the window, overlooking the festivities.

"What do you see?"

"...People?"

"Exactly. Now, how many people do you think there are down there?"

"Hundreds, at the very least."

"Mhm. And what do you notice about these people?"

"...They're all dressed in white..."

"And who do you know of whose wardrobe consists of only that shade?"

"...Mine..."

"Indeed it is. And what else do you notice about them?"
