Chapter 16

Time stood still as Seth stared straight in his fathers eyes. Pure white rage ran through is veins.

"Why don't you come play with someone your own size?" His body slammed into the older mans, as the man tried to lunge at him. Both demons changed into their demonic forms as their bodies rolled onto the ground.

"Gusion" Seth recognized this demon, as he pulled back to the demon below him.

"Your death is going to be my greatest pleasure" Gusion spat as he reared back and headbutted Seth.

Seth shook off the pain as he reared back and slammed his fist in Gusion's jaw. The demons head jerked back with a snap before the demon vanished from under him. Seth jumped up as he looked for Gusion. The demon rose to his full height as he hovered over the ground, Gusion had drawn his whip out and flipped the fire laced whip to its full length, as Gusion snapped it near Seth's face. Seth didn't even flinch as he drew his own sword. "Come and get big boy.." he challenged.

Gusion flung his whip once more and wrapped it around Seth's sword. Gusion smiled in victory as he tried to pull the sword out of Seth's hands. But the sword didn't flinch as Seth's grip tightened around it. He cocked his head to the side and laughed.

"You have ten thousand years on me and that is your best move?" Seth mocked, as he jerked his sword back and jerked Gusion's body to him with force.

Gusion growled in frustration as he tried to loosen his whip, before dropping it. He cut his eyes at Seth as his smile turned wicked. Just as before Gusion vanished.

Seth dropped his sword as he made himself invisible as well. Gusion wasn't going to sneak up on him from behind. He used his power to sense the demons presence. But he couldn't place him. It was like Gusion had disappeared off the planet.

"Ahh, don't give up so easily" Seth taunted.

"I haven't" came Gusion's reply as he dropped down latching onto Seth's back.

Both demons flashed back into their demonic forms as Gusion grabbed Seth from around the neck. He put Seth in a strangle hold when Seth reared back and slammed Gusion into the tree behind them.

Gusion's breath left his body as Seth reached behind him and threw Gusion's body over his shoulder. Seth used his powers and drew his sword. Time to die he thought as he drove his sword and sliced off Gusion's head. Blood sprayed through the air as Gusion's head fell to the ground. His body fell backwards as its head was severed off.

Seth watched as Gusion's body started sizzling like acid as it seeped into the earth. Seth held out his sword and watched the blood disappear, leaving a hideous odor of rotting flesh. Taking a couple of steps back Seth forced his thoughts on Nova. He looked up through the woods, searching. He felt her presence running through the woods, as he took after her.

Nova lifted her arm to protect her face as she fell to the forest floor. Oww she thought as she scrambled back upright. Where is he? She asked herself, finally taking the time to look back.

An eerily silence greeted her, as she looked for her attacker. Somehow that frighten her more than knowing he was right behind her. He's a demon she told herself. He doesn't have to run after me. He can just pop in and grab me. Her mind was full of gruesome possibilities as she waited for death to find her.

Her heart nearly stopped when she heard the crackle of underbrush. Her eyes darted back and forth trying to find the direction of the sound. Where is he? She kept chanting in her head. She wanted to run as far away as she could get, she wanted to disappear. Her legs locked with fear as she heard the sound coming closer. Run, you idiot! She screamed in her mind. But try as she might she could unfreeze from the spot.
