~(y/n)'s P.O.V~

Gladion and I arrived at Iki town, with no interruptions, thank god. I was so worried that we'd run into a Pokémon. "So, do you know where Hau lives?" "I think so." Gladion then led me to a house, then, knocked, on the door. "Hello, does Hau live here?" "Yes. Just give me a second... HAU! GET DOWN HERE!" My eyes widened, as I hid, behind Gladion. "Coming!" In mere seconds, Hau was in front of us.

"What do you guys need? I was trying to get my beauty sleep!" Gladion gave Hau a death glare. "I believe this is more important. If you'd be so kind as to come with us." Though, Gladion didn't wait for Hau's reply. He just started to drag him away. I quickly caught up to them.

We're now in front of a small platform. "This is a small Pokémon battle stage." "I see." "So, Hau, tell (y/n) about her first Pokémon battle." "Okay, sure. So, it all started when..." Hau then went on, to explain things that I had no clue about.

After a while, Hau finally finished. I'm guessing that it took a long time, because, Hau was very specific on the details. It's actually kind've scary how detailed Hau was. Though, even with all these details, I still don't remember a thing. "Did anything ring a bell?" "No, I'm sorry." Hau and Gladion sighed. Then, Hau looked like he was hit with the inspiration stick. "I GOT IT!" I flinched, a bit, at Hau's outburst. "Got what? It better be good, because, you scared (y/n)!" "Oops, sorry. Anyway, maybe if (y/n) and I have a Pokémon battle, then, something will click." "It's worth a shot. (y/n), are you up for a Pokémon battle?"

Me, in a Pokémon battle?! The very thought of that gives me chills. But, if it'll help me get my memories, then, sure. "I think I am. Just, please, go easy on me." "I think I can do that."

We then got on opposite sides of the battle platform. "Let's go, Raichu!" Hau said, before tossing what I assumed was Raichu's poke ball. Yep, Raichu came out. "Okay, your turn." I looked at the poke balls. All of them were different. But, I had no idea which Pokémon was in which poke ball. So, I grabbed a random poke ball, and, tossed it. Out came Puppet. It made a shriek, scaring me.

"Ladies first." Hau said, trying to give me the upper hand. I don't know what to do! What moves do Puppet know? And, will it even listen to me?! "Um... Use... A move!" Puppet looked at me, in confusion, before shooting a purple blob at the Raichu. "That was shadow ball!" "Thanks for the tip, Gladion."

"Raichu, use thunder!" Uh-oh, that sounds bad. "Dodge!" I shouted. Even though I'm afraid of this creature, this doesn't mean that I want it to be harmed. Puppet dodged the thunder attack. "Great job!"

The battle continued, for some time. After a while, I started to get the hang of it. This feeling... It feels so familiar. Maybe Gladion was right, maybe... Maybe, I really was the Pokémon Champion. "Puppet, aim a shadow ball at Raichu's tail!" Puppet did as I instructed. A powerful shadow ball hit Raichu's tail. Injured, Raichu could no longer fly, lowering its options of avoiding Puppet's attacks, by a drastic amount. "Finish this up, Puppet, with one last shadow ball!" Puppet charged up a gigantic shadow ball, and... BAM! Direct hit! Raichu fell over, unconscious. I can't believe it... I actually won!

"Great job, (y/n)!" Gladion said, while walking up to me. "I didn't really do anything. It was all Puppet's doing. Thanks, Puppet." I said, with a smile. Puppet shrieked, scaring me. I hid behind Gladion. He chuckled. "It's not funny!" I said, a small blush visible on my face. "On the contrary, it's quite funny." Gladion said, with a smirk, on his face. This only made my blush deepen.

"Somebody's in love!" Hau said, while looking at me, and Gladion. "Am not!" Gladion said. Though, for a second, I thought I saw a blush visible on Gladion's face. "Am too! You should see your face, it's bright red!" Hau said, before bursting out, laughing. "Why I ought to-" Gladion said, while lifting up his fist. Hau's eyes went wide.

"Gladion." I said, gently. "What?" Gladion asked, his tone completely changed. "I'm getting a bit tired. Guess the battle wore me out. Do you think we can go back to my house? I want to take a nap." "Oh, sure." Gladion gave Hau one last glare, before escorting me home.

After arriving, I looked Gladion straight in the eye. "Gladion. Can you do something for me?" "Depends on what it is." "Can you watch me sleep?" "What kind of request it that!?" "I want to sleep. But, I want to know that I'll be safe, while sleeping. So, please..." I said, before giving Gladion my best puppy-dog-eyes. Gladion sighed. "Fine." "Yay! Thanks!" I then led Gladion to my room.

"Here." I said, before leading Gladion to a comfy chair, that he could sleep in. "Just don't fall asleep on me, okay?""Okay." "Again, thank you." I pecked Gladion on the cheek, before laying down, and, closing my eyes. I was soon fast asleep.
