Alone I will Soar
Alone in my bed,
Listening to the night,
Alone with my thoughts,
Looking at the city lights.
Alone I will wake,
To rejoice in the sun,
Alone there will be no tears,
Sadness will no longer consume me.
Alone I will seek knowledge,
So my insight can grow,
Alone I will use my imagination
My creativity will soar.
Alone I will listen,
To my voice not my fears,
Alone I will find strength,
That will take me through these years.
