Being asked to the Yule ball

It was the middle of DADA and y/n was sitting trying to focus on her test but she couldn't as the one and only George Weasley kept trying to distract her by throwing paper at her and stage whispering her name whenever Professor Snape wasn't looking. She looked across at her best friend bf/n who was smirking at her. Y/n turned round and continued trying to focus on her work.
"Oi you lot! Listen up! I have something that I would like to say to a special girl" George shouted, standing up and looking directly at y/n who gulped and blushed furiously at the tall boy who she had grown ever so fond of. They weren't exactly a couple, but everyone knew not to mess with her as you would have George to answer too.
"Look y/n I'm not going to embarrass you anymore but I would just like to ask you two things, 1- fancy being my girl? And 2- wanna go to the yule ball with me?" George slowly started walking towards you with an unreadable expression on his face, finally he stopped right in front of you, took your hand. Pulled you up with such force that you fell forward onto him meaning you had to place your hands on his chest to steady yourself while he grabbed onto your waist and leaned down and whispered "it's now or never sweetheart" in your ear gently, before pulling back and looking at you. You could smell his minty breath and his cologne that you knew so well from stealing his hoodies and jumpers and sighing happily whenever you wore them as they were soft, comfy and smelt like him. You took a deep breath and looked up into his eyes, you smirked your signature smirk which had become well known in hogwarts because of the weasleys. "Hmm.... let me think for a minute" you said thoughtfully, "yes and..... YES!" You said while jumping up and quickly kissing him on the lips and hugging him tight. "Bloomin' eck for a second I thought you'd say no you cheeky thing" George said while laughing and hugged you back spinning you around. The whole class slapped, even Snape sat there and didn't say anything or deduct points from your house. "I love you Georgie!" You said while hugging George again. "Don't call me that love, it'll get you in trouble" George said playfully, "with who?" You asked innocently, "any girl called Georgie!" George exclaimed, "I love you too though y/n y/ln" George said with a smile before kissing your head and letting go of your hands slowly as he walked away and shoved them in his pockets. The End
