Team Aqua basically killed his mother during a Pokemon Battle... the Pokemon he carries around were his mothers..... he's been raising them since they were Charmander, Moltres, Vulpix, Growlithe, Ponyta and Eevee....... he wears a Fire Stone necklace around his neck because his mother was going to evolve her Eevee with it.... his father's name is Lysandre... he was caught every single fire Pokemon in each region and stored them in his PC. He is the Fire Champion.
