It's Monday. I'm waiting under the tallest cherry blossom tree in Phoenix Drop Park. Gene told me to meet him here after school for the fight. I don't really want to fight him but I can't back down or he will beat me up everyday instead of three times a week. I don't even think I'll hit him once. I don't really feel like hitting him.

I know I told him that I would actually fight him, but I don't think fighting will do anything to stop him from using me as a human punching bag.

"Hey darling. I'm glad you showed up this time."

I turn around and see Gene. Sasha and Zenix are being him glaring at me. Well Zenix is glaring. Sasha looks like she doesn't want to be here.

"So, are the other two lame wads gonna help you fight?"

All three of them glare at me. Gene scoffs and steps forward.

"No. I can take care of you all by myself, darling."

That nickname is getting annoying now. I should have made him stop when he first came up with it.

Sasha and Zenix back up a little bit to give us room to fight. Gene cracked his knuckles, signalling me that the fight was about to start. I dropped my bag by the tree and made sure I still had the scissors in my pocket. I was going to use them just in case the fight got too intense.

Gen threw the first punch. And the second. He also threw the first kick. I just stood there taking his punches and kicks. He was starting to get annoyed at my lack of response. He stopped hitting me and looked straight into my eyes.

"You truly are pathetic, aren't you."

The words brought back memories. Awful memories of my father. Memories of feeling useless. Of feeling worthless. I tried to push away the memories but I couldn't.

"What would Max say if he found out his sister was a pathetic weakling?"

My eyes widened. I couldn't believe what he just said. How did he find out about Max?

He chuckles. I'm guessing he saw my reaction.

"You must be wondering how I found out about your brother. Well, I know much more about your family than you think. I know about you and your "problem" with colors. I know everything about you Y/n."

His words sent chills down my spine. How could he know what he claims to know? What if he's lying? Either way, I wasn't going to let him get away with knowing about Max.

"What's wrong, Darling? Finally realized you couldn't keep your pathetic life a secret? Honestly, I can't believe you don't talk about them more often. I would love to get to know your father. You know, so he could give me tips on murder-"

I punched Gene. He fell on the floor. He slowly stood up and dusted off his pants. He gave a low chuckle.

"Didn't think you had it in you to hit me. Guess I was wrong."

He slowly walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder. Then he punched the side of my face. I stumbled back a little from the unexpected hit. Once I regained my balence, I ran up to him and kicked him in the stomach. He bent over a little bit but then he pushed me back.

My back hit the tree and he came at me. I thought he was going to punch me but he didn't. Instead, he put his hands around my neck and began to choke me. I was too angry and confused to care. I started to choke him too. I turned us around so that his back was against the tree.

Gene pushed me and we both fell on the ground. Gene was still choking me. His fingers were burning in my neck. I flipped us over again. He was on the floor and I was on top of him. As we continued choking each other, I remembered the scissors in my pocket. I let Gene flip us over for the last time. Once my back was to the floor, I hit Gene in the gut with my knee. He didn't let go of my neck. I slowly let go of his neck and slid the scissors out of my pocket. As he continued choking me, I opened the scissors and stabbed Gene's leg. He cried out in pain and rolled over. I stood up quickly. Sasha and Zenix ran over to assist their injured leader. Gene sat up and pushed them away. He pulled the scissors out of his leg and glared at me. I just stood there looking back at him.

Sasha and Zenix helped Gene get up and he immediately ran over to me. I punched his right eye and he punched my stomach. He tried to punch my face but I grabbed his arm and twisted it. I heard a nasty crack coming from his arm. He cried out in pain again but continued to fight me. He tried to punch me with his other arm but I moved out of the way.

I flipped him backwards and pushed his to the floor while pulling his good arm back.

"Don't ever talk about my family again. I don't know how you found out about them but if you tell anybody else, I'll find you and your goons won't be there to protect you. Now you better keep this fight and everything that was said, to yourself."

I let him go and stood up. I walked over to my backpack which was still by the tree. Then I walked over to pick up the scissors I used to stab Gene. As I was walking away, I saw Sasha and Zenix running to help Gene. I kept walking though.

I started heading home. I was walking. Then speed walking. Then I was jogging. Soon, I was full-on sprinting to my house. When I got to my door, I kicked the door open. I walked into my home and threw my backpack across the room. I was shaking with anger. My mind was storming with questions.

How did he find out about Max? How does he know about my father? How did he know about me being colorblind? Why is everything so complicated?

I punched my wall. I was still full of adrenaline from the fight. I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and started to tear up my couches and pillows. I threw the knife at a painting on the wall like a dart. Then I grabbed my emergency bat and smashed my tv. I continued to hit it until the screen was completely wrecked. I proceeded to break my coffee table by jumping on it.

I stomped my way upstairs and broke down my bedroom door. I walked in and began to cry. Hot tears rolled down my cheeks as I stood in front of the mirror looking down.

Suddenly, my head felt like a bullet was going through it. I screamed out in pain and fell forward. I reached out and tried to hold onto my dresser. Unfortunately, I pushed the dresser and a glass bird figurine broke on my hand. I pulled myself up and saw blood all over my hand. I stumbled over to my bathroom for the pills.

I was halfway there when the pain suddenly became stronger. I yelled out in pain again and clutched my head tightly. I continued to walk over to the bathroom. I put my bloody hand on the door knob and opened the door. I stepped inside and walked over to my medicine cabinet. I tried to open it but everything began to fade. Everything became black and my body felt like jelly.

I fell forward and passed out.
