24. Trapped

16 3 1

I've been seated by this window
All day watching as time flies

Ready for the world's show
Of demons in disguise.

I see a woman walking down the lane Blending with the shadows, but in vain

I stare out the window
Wondering if she knows
That a hooded figure looms behind
And his intentions don't seem to be kind.

I wish I could warn her
Or try to help
But I can't.
I hear her yelp!

Behind the window I feel trapped
Oh why! Does this window hold me back?
