The next morning, I woke up with Angel right next to me. I smiled and lightly shook her to wake her up.
Angel: *wakes up* hm?
Me: Come on we have to go tell dad the truth *Gets up*
We got up and did our hygiene and got dressed. After we finished we got in my black charger and drove to Empire. During the ride Angel was really quiet. I grabbed her hand and gently kissed it reassuring her everything's going to be fine. We pulled up to Empire and parked the car. We got out and I grabbed my sisters hand as we went inside.
Me: Becky is dad in a meeting right now?
Becky: No but he's in his office
Angel: Thanks Becky *Grabs my hand and & gets on the elevator*
As the Elevator made it's way up, I squeezed Angels hand. She looked at me and smiled softly. We stepped off the elevator and approached Dads office.
Me: You ready? *looks at Angel*
Angel: I'll be lying right now if I said yes *Looks at me*
We took a deep breath and walked into dads office hand in hand
Lucious: Hey you two..Why are y'all here your both off today *looks at his papers*
Angel: We know but we have something to tell you dad *squeezes my hand*
Luscious looks up at us
Luscious: what is it?
Me: Well for the past few months... Me and Angel have been dating secretly *looks at him*
He looks between the both of us and gets up
Luscious: No offense but I don't think
Me: I'm going to stop you right there *stands up* if you don't approve... you're losing not only 2 of your top artists of Empire, but you're also losing your son and daughter
Angel: *looks at him*
Our dad looks at us again and turns around. I shook my head and grabbed Angels hand and leave. We drive back to the condo And I start to pack. Angel looks at me
Angel: What are you doing?
Me: Looks at her* We're going to move ok
Angel: What about Mom and Jamal and Andre? *Looks at me*
I look back at her and sit by her
Me: Look when dad accepts the fact that we're dating ,We'll return to Empire
Angel: *Looks down*
I tilt her head up gently and she looks at me
Me: Do you remember what I said when we first performed together?
Angel: *Nods* That you got me
Me: And I still do..You trust me?
She nods her head
Me: Ok *kisses her* Get your stuff sis
We finished packing and got in the car. We left for California
