Part 10

Sumedh opened his eyes & found himself in his room. His head was bursting in hangover.

He tried to remember what happened. He grabbed his hair & sat up.

Bandana came in his room with a glass of lemonade.

"Bandana..? Kya hua mujhe..? Main yaha kaise.? " He asked.

He was expecting some answer from her insted he got a tight slap on his left cheek.

"What the.. " He said.

"Samajhte kya ho apne aap ko..? " She grabbed his coller & sat on bed with her knees.

"Kya..? Kya hua..? " He again asked.

"Tum mujhse pooch rahe ho ki kya hua..??? Mujhse pooch rahe ho..?? " She asked.

"Mujhe yaad nai Bandana.. " He said.

"Yaad karo.. " She said.

He tried to remember but couldn't. Now she started crying.

"Bandana.. Mujhe sach me yaad nai. " He said.

"Sunana chahte ho tumne kya kiya..? Hai himmat..? " She asked.

Now he became serious.

"Batao.. Kya hua hai .? " He asked.

She looked towards him with teary eyes.

"Sumedh.. U raped me.. Jabardasti ki tumne mere sath.. " She told.

Sumedh became freezed. He couldn't believed his ears.

"M.. M. Maine.. K.. Kya..? " He stammered.

She sat down & started crying loudly.

Bandana... His best friend... Childhood buddy... She was crying helplessly in front of him... And he was the reason himself...

He felt like his toung left him & he will be mute fr rest of his life..

"Mere sath toh... " He said in low voice.

"Aarushi thi.. Haan.. Wahi thi.. Tumhe dhoondte dhoondte main aur Randhir aye the waha.. Jab hum aye tab tum aur Aaru dono nashe me the.. Randhir ne Aarushi ko uthaya aur apni car se wo use le gya.. Maine hi kaha use.. Sumedh mera dost hai.. Main use sambhal loongi.. Main tumhe ghar le jane wali thi.  " She sobbed.

He was listening with fear in his eyes.

"Jise tum tent me le gye the wo Aarushi nai main thi.. Maine kitna try kiya tumhe rokne ka.. But I failed.. " She cried loudly.

Sumedh wanted his heart to suffer a major attack...  He wanted earth to swallow him. He wanted someone to shoot him...

He again grabbed his hair & sat down. He remembered those dreams.. May it was the reason he did so..

'No.. I can't justify my act.. ' He thought.

Bandana stood up.

"Maine yeh baat kisiko nai batayi.. Meri ijjat.. Meri self respect.. Sab toh chhin chuke the tum mujhse.. Par meri insaniyat tab bhi jinda thi.. Nashe me tum the.. Main to poore hosh me thi jab aisa hua mere sath.. Phir bhi main tumhe ghar leke ayi hoon.. Main tumhe sab se bacha ke tumhare room tak leke ayi.. Jab ki thik se chalne ki bhi halat me nai thi main.. " She said.

He closed his eyes & bit his lower lip.

"Bandana.. " He said.

"Nai.. Mujhe nai sunana kuch.. Jo hua uske liye at least itna shok to manane do tum mujhe.. Main aaj yaha aayi.. Tumse ek baat bolne ke liye.. Aaj ke baad apni shakal mat dikhana mujhe.. Aaj tak ki dosti.. Hamari itni sari acchi memories in sab ke wajah se main tumhari yeh harkat maaf kar rahi hoon.. Par ab tum mujhe apne aas pas nai chahiye ho.. Stay away from me.. " She said.
