Your first instinct is to turn on the lights, but you know if you do you're dead.

It's every parents worst nightmare: your child turns the corner on the carousel and when they come back around they're gone.

She had all these little quirks that I loved. My favorite being how she always started the next plastic bag for cashiers. When I asked her why she does it, she simply said, "They do it so often, why not give them a break. Make their job a little easier."

When I drive I think about ways I might die driving. It's not like suicidal thoughts, per say. More like, what would happen if I jerked my wheel this way or that, or if a deer came out of no where, or if I were taking a sharp turn and just let go of the wheel? In all of these scenarios, I'm always the only one who dies. Although I'm not suicidal, I think if I were to kill myself I'd use my car. And it'd be at night.
