Y/N'S POV:

"That's not fair!" I complained to my big brother with my arms crossed. "How come Happy gets to go with you and not me?"

I looked down to the floor with my eyebrows furrowed, waiting for him to answer. I can't believe Natsu chose Happy to go to Tenrou Island instead of me, his own sister!

"Y/N..." he said gloomily. He looked away for a minute then back down at me. I glared up at him with my hands on my hips waiting for him to answer. "I don't want you getting hurt. It's best you stay here with Bisca."

"But, my magic has gotten stronger! I won't get hurt!" I exclaimed but he doesn't seem convinced. I sighed then looked down at my feet in defeat. "Fine.."

Natsu Dragneel, the famous Salamander of Fairy Tail, is my older brother. Yes, we both have Fire-Dragon Slaying magic but he's much stronger than me. Him being 18 and me being 11, it's pretty obvious who's the more experienced one out of us two. He never lets me go with him on missions or even train so I never really get to improve on my magic.

"Listen Y/N," he starts as kneels down to my height. "I promise when I come back, we'll go on a mission together." I snap my head up to face him and gasped. He's actually letting me go on a mission? My very first mission?!

"No way..." I mumble as he chuckles. "You're actually letting me go on a mission?! An actual mission?!" I smiled widely while trying to keep myself from jumping around with excitement.

"Yep. I think you're old enough now to go on one." He smiled then rubs my head. "Just don't wreck the guild while we're gone. That's my job!"

We both laughed together then began talking about what the mission will be like when Natsu comes back as an S-Class mage. It feels like yesterday we were just arriving to the guild for the first time and promising that we would work hard to become strong enough to bring Fairy Tail to the top and find Igneel. Even though I was only 6 and he was 12 when we both first joined, I still had his determination and headstrong yet chaotic personality. I remember setting all of the tables on fire.

Now, he has finally been chosen for the S-Class trials and I couldn't be any happier for him. We both have grown so much ever since Igneel left us; he's been focusing on his strength and stamina while I focused on my thinking skills and mental fortitude. I used to drown myself in books and studies back then and Levy would usually tutor me so now my mind and thoughts have expanded. But, now I have to focus on my magic considering how weak I am but Natsu is so strict about me training and improving my magic, so, the fact that he's letting me finally go on my first mission is big news for me.

"It's getting late," he mentions while looking at the sun slowly setting. "We have to head home so Happy and I can pack some stuff." he said.

"Alright, lets go!" I barked and we made our way back to our little house.

It was finally the day for the chosen ones to depart to Tenrou Island. My chest kept getting heavier from nervousness but excitement for Natsu. We both walked together to the port which, I gotta admit, is a little scary due to the thought of transportation.

As everyone boards the ship, Natsu halts right at the ramp of it and blankly looked off. I checked to see if anything was wrong but he was just staring at nothing with no expression.

"What's wrong, Natsu?" I asked. With that, he looks down at me then gives a heartwarming smile. The smile that somehow cheered me up when we were younger because I knew, just from that smile, that everything will be alright. He lowers to my height then embraces me into a comforting warm hug. I playfully rolled my eyes and hugged him back.

"I promise I'll come back as an S-Class mage, Y/N. And you and I will find Igneel." He says into my ear. I grinned then nodded as we hugged a little while longer.

Hugging Natsu was like hugging a teddy bear; heartwarming and comforting. Whenever I was dull or scared or just feeling down, Natsu pulls me into a hug making me feel better. I guess it's because it makes me feel at home and makes everything better. Natsu means more to me than anything; not just because he's my brother but because he's done so much for me and we both have such a strong and unbreakable bond that can conquer anything.

A few guild members who were watching from the ship gave a few Awws at us, making me slightly blush. We finally let go of our hug and I look up at Natsu with my fist in the air.

"I believe in you, Natsu!" I exclaimed with a grin. He nods then turns his back to me and takes a few steps into the ship but looks back at me with agony.

"Can't I just swim?!" He blurted. I couldn't help but laugh at his pain.

Everyone finally boards the ship and began saying their final goodbyes to the ones who ended up staying in the guild. The chosen ones leaned over the railing and waved to all of us goodbye, all with hearty smiles for their upcoming adventure. However, a certain pyro was sadly leaning against the railing trying not to throw up. The ship began moving farther and farther so I sprinted to the end of the port to tell my final goodbye.

"Natsu! Happy!" I yelled with my hands around my mouth. "Don't let me down! I believe in you!" I noticed Natsu running to the back of the ship with Happy following behind. He attempts to wave but immediately fell on to the ships floor due to motion sickness but Happy kept grinning and waved at me. And with that, they were all off onto the most important test in Fairy Tail, all with hearts full of determination.
