"Naruto, what are you doing?" Sasuke poked his head into his non-biological brother's room, where the boy in question immediately froze.
"S-Sasuke!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Naruto? Are you. . . packing?" Mikoto joined her sons.
"Kaa-san!" Naruto's eyes darted for a way of escape.
The two Uchihas looked at Naruto, and realized that they were seeing him in clothes they had never seen him in before. He was wearing a short-sleeved black hoodie, black ANBU pants, black shinobi sandals and had black wrist bands. And his forehead protector was no where to be seen.

"Um. . . I'm leaving."
"But why? Aren't you happy here?" Sasuke demanded.
"Ke, I'm sorry. But I just. . . don't belong here, ya know? I mean, I'm grateful you guys took me in. But that doesn't change the fact that the villagers hate me. And there are people like me, people out there who are suffering just like I am. They are just like me."
"How are they like you? How could anyone be just like another person?" Itachi came into the room.
Naruto's bangs shadowed his eyes. "Because they are jinchuuriki."
"So you know." Fugaku joined the rest of his family in his unofficially-adopted son's room, his eyes understanding.
"Thank you, Tou-san. For giving me a family. A chance to know love," Naruto smiled.
"Please don't go," Sasuke whispered. "Who am I gonna tease? Who am I gonna train with? What am I supposed to do when you're gone?"
"I'll come back. Don't worry about that. But I meant what I said. I'm leaving and gathering all the jinchuuriki. That's why I made sure this stay was memorable," Naruto explained.
"Naruto. . ." Mikoto looked at him with sad eyes.
Then the blonde surprised everyone by what he did next.

Naruto backed away until he was at the window, bag slung over his shoulder.

And the blonde boy jumped out the window. The Uchiha family looked at each other before nodding and running out of the house, following the roof-running boy.
"Don't wanna leave it all behind.
But I get my hopes up,

Naruto jumped down at stopped at the Konoha gates.
"What about us? "
The blonde stopped.
"What about everything we've been through? "
Naruto turned around and saw his non-biological family standing behind him, Sasuke in the lead.
"What about trust? " Naruto took a step forward, as did Sasuke.
"You know you're always welcome here."
"What about me? "
"What am I supposed to do? "
"I've gotta leave but I'll miss you."

Sasuke's pleading eyes begged him to stay, but Naruto knew he had to do this. He always knew this day would come, when he could say goodbye and finally go and find the fellow jinchuuriki.
Naruto turned to the gates, his back to his heartbroken family.
"Oh so,
I've got to move on and be who I am! "
"Why do you have to go? "
"I just don't belong here, I hope you understand. "

(His bag is like Shino's bag, only it's got strings across his chest, not attached to his jacket)
And Naruto Uzumaki-Uchiha was gone.
