When The Wolf Cries

When the wolf cries you may hear him at night
When the wolf cries you may see him at sight
He's howling to the moon asking for his friends
Where he woke up in the morning and no one was there
You'll hear him at midnight you'll see him in your dreams

You must know that he will always be there in your dreams
When the wolf cries he's asking the moon
Why have I been alone for an entire moon
Where is my pack I miss them so
How could they have left me all alone
Moon I need your guidance
To help me find my pack before the sun rises

As he howls to the moon, the moon then answers
The wolf looks at the moon and then gazes at the stars
He says how could I have thought that I have been alone
All the stars make up for my time alone
How beautiful, how gentle they are as they are shone
The moon answers and says my son you are no longer alone
The wolf learned his lesson and now is no longer alone

When he turns around he sees nothing but ground
He thinks to himself I'm going to be okay
As long as the moon, leads my way
The stars light a path for me as a I go
Reminding me, that I'm never alone
I follow the path and soon meet my pack

I tell them how I thought I was alone
But we all said together
A pack is never alone
The wolf was happy that the moon and stars led his way
Yet he remembered to stay that way
The wolf always tells his mates
When you are afraid, to look at the sky
Day or Night the moon will always arrive

The moon, the stars are always there
No matter if you can't see them, they will always be there
So when your alone on a cold windy night
Look at the stars and they will say
Your never alone we are always there
Howl to the moon and we will be right there

When the wolf cries you now know why
He's looking for guidance in the moon
He's howling to up above, wanting light to shine his way
Reminding him that they are always there, even on his darkest days
