Chapter 4: Unexpected
Umalis na rin siya sa room namin pagkatapos. Hindi ko namalayan na ako na lang pala ang hindi pa nakakapagpasa. I want to chase and ask him what he meant by that but I was too shocked to even react.
"Kuya Sanny, asaan po si Vincent?" Nadatnan ko ang driver ng daddy ko na naglilinis ng sasakyan.
Umuwi na din ako pagkatapos ng klase. Wala nga kaming ginawa pagkatapos. The teachers had a meeting. Wala akong magagawa kundi maghintay ng uwian dahil may attendance pang ginagawa pagkatapos. Vincent didn't return after that. Nalaman ko na lang na umuwi na pala siya sa bahay nang nagtext siya sa akin.
"Baka nasa kwarto niya..." aniya at nagpatuloy sa paglilinis.
Nagpasalamat ako sakanya't umalis. I headed towards Vincent's room. I didn't dare to knock. I opened his door without his authorization and saw him lying on his bed, watching T.V.
Nakapamaywang ko siyang tinignan.
"Bakit ang aga mong umuwi?" Pumunta ako sa kanyang tabi.
"Nakakatamad na pumasok. Plus, wala naman din kayong ginawa pagkatapos diba?" aniya habang nakatuon ang pansin sa T.V.
I frowned. "How did you know?"
"I accidentaly heard it when I went to Guidance office," Kibit-balikat niyang sabi.
I nodded. I want to tell him what happened but I'm having second thoughts about it. Eren is one of his friends. I'm not really sure which of the two of us has his loyalty.
"What happened? I know you wouldn't go here for nothing." Tumikhim siya't ngumisi.
Inirapan ko siya't binato ng pillow. Tumawa lang siya at umilag.
Umiling na lang ako at nagmartsa paalis sa kanyang kwarto. Bakit ko ba naisipang pumunta dito? My cousin is such a jerk! Tumatawa pa siya habang pinanood akong lumabas. Binagsak ko ng malakas ang pinto niya.
Bwisit! He know me so well!
Sa mga sumunod na araw ay mas naging busy kaming lahat. Todo-todo ang practice namin para sa nalalapit na play. Mayroon pang mga research projects na pinapagawa. Nakaka-stress lang dahil sabay-sabay nila itong ibinibigay. I don't know what I should face first. I'm not really good when it comes to these situations.
Mag a-alasdyis na ng gabi pero hindi pa ako natutulog. My eyes are already falling but I kept it still by drinking lots of water. I'm doing the questionnaire for our research paper which will be distributed tomorrow.
Alas dose na ako natapos. I badly want to sleep. My body is aching to be on my bed. I was about to sleep when Eunice messaged me on Facebook.
I grabbed my iPad.
Eunice: Gising ka pa?
I replied a big like. Ngumisi ako. I can imagine her annoyed face right now.
I decided to check my facebook for a while. It's been months since the last time I opened my account. I accepted all my friend requests and read some messages. In my perspective, there's really nothing special about this social site. I only downloaded this because I want to see Eren's posts. Sadly, he's not that active just like me.
I clicked his name. I saw his familiar profile picture. He's only wearing a plain v neck shirt while wearing a cap but still he looks so good. I scrolled down his timeline. I saw some tagged photos from his friends and relatives. I saved all of them. I continued scrolling.
I stopped when my eyes caught a breathtaking photo of him. This was taken when we were in grade 7? I'm not sure. He was fixing his hair while facing the camera. That jaw. Those lips. Those eyes. It's like he's hypnotizing me. I bit my lower lip. He looks so freaking hot!!!
