Chapter Fifty Six
Outside Medic Natasha Holmes home

Kaelen stared at the large home and frowned, "This is the best residence I've seen one of the medic's live in by far."

Jacob stared at the reports he'd gotten his mother to do, "It says here that she shouldn't be able to afford the lifestyle she lives in."

Lucas frowned as he looked over to Jacob, "Kae where's my new hand held?"

Kaelen chuckled as he lied, "I gave it to Mia this morning."

Lucas pursed his lips and raised his hand calling forth his hand held.  "This looks like the same one you said you'd replace," he frowned as he flipped it over examine the back.

Jacob laughed and waved his hand over it, "There brand new."

Kaelen reached into his pocket and pulled out a small cube, "And here's the manual for it."

Lucas chuckled as he cocked an eyebrow, "Who listens to the manual?"

Kaelen looked at him seriously, "You should definitely listen to the manual."

Lucas pouted as he waved a hand and the cube was sent to his office for him to listen to later.  Rolling his eyes he looked down at the report Jacob had sent him, "It reads here that a lot of her associates are on the list of Ah'Tarians giving money for the uprising."

Jacob nodded, "Maybe she'll be able to give us some information that we don't have."  Jacob sighed as he walked across the cobble street to her posh residence in the very expensive, Lights District.  "We aren't going to know what she can tell us until we talk to her."

Kaelen walked parallel to her home and sat down on a bench waiting to see if she came out of the residence through one of the side doors; while Lucas went to the back of the house to cut off that route.

"This is ridiculous when we could just walk into her home," came Kaelen voice through a psych link.

Jacob chuckled as he rang the chimes next to her door, "What's the fun in always-."

The door opened and he came face to face with an attractive brunette with a come hither smiled opened the door.

Staring with wide emerald eyes she pouted her heart shaped lips, "You aren't Julius."

Jacob cocked a brow, "No I'm Jacob Lawson and I believe we need to talk."  He watched partially amused as the lovely Valoxian recognized his name and tried to slam the door in his face.  Sighing he pushed the door open and watched her run toward the one of the balconies that led outside.

Lucas walked in through the door frowning at his hand held, "Medic Holmes I believe you know why we are here?"

Medic Holmes turned to see an olive man stroll from the back of her home and sighed, "I have no idea why you've barged into my home.  I believe I should alert the Alliance police to this."

Lucas chuckled as he held has shiny new hand held toward her, "By all means use mine to call."  As he smiled at her he continued, "While you're at it you can explain why several healthy Ah'Tarians under your care can't produce children."

Medic Holmes eyes narrowed as she stared at Lucas, "That has nothing to do with me."

Jacob strolled toward her pushing her toward a chair in her tastefully decorated home, "You say that while living in a home that is well outside your pay grade."

Shrugging she stared defiantly at him, "My family is independently wealthy on Valox."

Kaelen cocked his head at her as he smiled, "Up until thirteen months ago your family lived just above squalor.  How did they go from that to independently wealthy?"
