Welcome, welcome! And congratulations, you've found Wattpad's most jovially mad little corner. Coping is a little haven in this digital word-land for anyone looking for a bit of extra perspective on the dull horror of the real world.
And it really is a dull horror. 2020 has been a fairly miserable year for pretty much everyone. Unless you're Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk. They made bank. (Literally. Their net worth could comfortably run a major bank) At this point, for a lot of people, a zombie apocalypse would be a relief.

What I'm trying to do in this bit of work is offer a little perspective on the problems we're all living through. We've gone through a global pandemic, four years of Donald Trump, a calamitous climate crisis that we're functionally doing nothing about, what appears to be a resurgence of racism, a shifting of the geopolitical axis towards China, a waning United States, and a host of smaller issues that have been somewhat smothered by the sheer scope and scale of the big problems.

By that alone, it's easy to see why you, or frankly anyone with any sense, might feel more than a little despondent.
That's where I come in.
I'll be taking the issues, big and small, and doing my best to make fun of them. And in the process, I'm hoping to expand on why the issue is an issue, and what can be done about it. Or even why it isn't an issue, or why it's side-effect of a really good thing.
Because I think we all need it. Without context, a lot of what we're going through looks like the end of the world.
I'll also be talking about smaller and more specific things. Like what I'm doing on Wattpad, talking about Wattpad, what I plan to do with my stories, and that sort of thing. And I'll do my best to reserve some of this for you, how you're doing, and what you're up to.
Because I think we all need a bit of perspective.
