"Hey! Jimin! Long time no see, how are you guys!?"
"We're okay, how have you been doing PD Nim?"
I lowered the toilet lid, sitting down to hear him speak.
"I have great news. The whole ordeal has settled down a bit and I was able to contract several bodyguards to stand to watch at you guys' apartment."
My phone nearly fell out of my hand. That meant only one thing, our time with Marili was numbered.
"Oh yeah? How will that work?" I asked.
"Well, they'll arrive on Friday morning at like 4 A.M., and there's nine of them. One will be in the lobby, one will stand guard at the elevator on your floor, and the other seven will be positioned individually on each one of you guys' door. They'll make sure no one comes even close to you guys. It's the least I can do as your guardian. I know for a fact you guys wouldn't have enough money to pay for all nine bodyguards, but I know for a fact you'll have more than enough for rent and even for your families," he finished off.
"With the amount of Gucci Taehyung buys, I doubt he'll be able to pay his rent," I thought.
"PD Nim, I have a favor to ask. Can the bodyguards let certain people in?"
"Yeah sure, just give me the names," he said cheerfully.
"Marili."
There was a long pause at the other end of the line.
"A girl?"
"Mhm," I responded.
He paused again, this time a little longer than before.
