Beauty.

Snowflakes fall

from the sky

a maelstrom of magnificence

your indigo eyes can not see

the anger inside

the force of the beauty

because in that beauty lies strength

strength gained from the pain

that lies beneath this hallowed ground

strength gained from your incessant ignorance

of what lies behind

these crystal hazel eyes

shattered glass and broken things

are just a metaphor of what I've seen

you can not compare

on the outside I may not be

the most beautiful thing you've seen

scars all over

novels of stress

of stress and pain

a pain so endearing

to make one cry

cry themselves to sleep tonight

you can not see the beauty inside

formed from an ugly world

the tears never shed

until right now

emotions bottled up inside

come pouring out

pouring like the paint you see

dripping down mixed with turpentine

the emotions she tried to hide

now coming out

from behind these walls

used to hold in the pain

are busted now, can't you see

they fake the laughter most of the time

we all must act pretty well

the snowflakes that fall

those cold winter days

remind me of the beauty inside

a beauty that you will never see

the guilty and vain will forever be

nothing but ugly on the inside

you must be blind for everything has beauty inside

frost tipped air

snips of grass poke out now

the spring time it comes

but the beauty is still there.
