flower blossoms fall from the trees

warm weather and a very light breeze.

She walks alone, a single petal falling from the sky.

Nothing was worse than being paired, yet feeling alone.

They broke it off, it was easy. But she couldn't help

but feel a little guilty.

Someone she knew for only twenty months and a few weeks.

He always loved her, but she had been taken.

She walks by the school, blooming things everywhere.

Yet only he thinks she is what's worth waiting for.

Sure, the spring was good.

But she never made the skies gray and rainy.

Only sunshine for him.

She knew it was there, but she wasn't so sure.

She thought she had loved.

Thought being key.

For if you do not know, then how can you see?

They say love is blind.

She was the blindest of all.

The boy who had patiently waited.

He made her smile. He made her laugh.

He wanted to treat her like a queen.

For she was already a queen.

He had asked the question, she needed time.

He only wanted her to consider, no pressure. no pressure.

The thought made her happy.

Maybe there was love in the world.

She hoped for no betrayal.

And to not be ignored.

Everyone needs love. She just had to try...
