Dying Spark

Before you my world was out of control,
Spinning wildly, so hard to survive.
Just as the chaos had taken its toll,
I met you and for once I felt alive.

The scent of your cologne made me smile,
Your eyes like chocolate and gleamed as sweet.
My troubles were forgotten for a while,
What was once messy in life was now neat.

You were the light in my life, lovely boy,
But as time went on you began to fade.
The day you left I felt my heart destroy,
I was left wondering when your heart swayed.

The emptiness has made my world feel dark,
Broken hopes and faiths left and dying spark.
