The Lying Game

Your heart is a fragile diamond
that is filled with so many parts
But when you are lied to,
sharp, staggering knives start to
fill your heart.

Lying robs your soul
every time it maims your heart
like burning coal.

Lying will take a toll on you
to a point where you can only ruth;
so many lies were told that you can't figure out the unrelenting truth.

It keeps you from opening up your sweet, gleaming eyes
It wears a hidden mask in a deceiving disguise.

It leaves you not only lost,
but in a spinning cyclone
Lying gets to your head then shreds you to the bone.

You're left feeling broken to the point that you realize it's time to depart
If only you could have stopped this madness from the very
start.
