Just Like That

You were never there,

at least I thought you weren't.

Just a silhouette in the light

completely blinded were my eyes.

Then one day you suddenly appeared

out of nowhere it seemed;

life became more colorful-

everything was bright and the sunshine always
beamed.

I don't want to feel this way,

I just want it to stop.

My heart longs for more 

whatever this is from the bottom of my heart

to the very top.

I will deny everything and forget about

my questionable thoughts;

my mind is at war with itself

and I'm questioning everything I was taught.

Finally I see the light out of this spinning,

spiraling tunnel;

my mind is made up and clear.

It's fine now, I have no regrets.

I now realize that I don't have time

  for people like you,

but it's people like you 

that I won't ever forget.
