ALMA'S POV-
From: mom
I can't believe you left without telling me, or even asking me

Why would you do that

Where are you

Why did you leave without telling me

If you're not home by the end of today don't come home at all

I stared at the text messages in front of me. Niall was in the shower and I decided to finally read what my mom had been texting me. I didn't expect her to threaten to kick me out.

"Hey" Niall walked in. I snapped my head towards him and gave a small smile

"Hey" I mumbled and turned off my phone "I, uh, think I'm going to shower"

"Alright, my shower is just like any other shower" he joked

"Guess I'll manage to figure it out" I chuckled grabbing my bag and heading out the door

"Towels are in the cabinet under the sink" he yelled before I closed the door

I set my stuff down and turned on the shower. I let the water heat up as I grabbed some of the clothes I wanted, and a towel from under the sink. I took off the clothes I was wearing and stepped into the shower, letting to warm water hit my hair and down my back.

I did my business and finished my shower. I dried off my body then put on some clothes. I opened the door to Niall's room and saw him sitting on his bed with his phone in his hands

"Finally! You took forever" he groaned

"Sorry, I was thinking about some stuff and lost track of time" I explained putting my stuff down "I ,uh, think I'm gonna go home in a little bit"

"What, why" he stopped what he was doing and stared at me

"I just think it's best, my family is worried. Don't want to worry them too much" I sighed

"But Alma, you're getting hurt there you can't go back" he argued

"I'll be fine, I always have been so it won't be that bad" I shrugged

"You aren't going back" he declared "not until everything is okay"

"You can't stop me" I furred my eyes brows "thanks for everyth-"

"No, what's making you go home? You didn't want to go home yesterday! You didn't want to be there when I came and got you. And you certainly didn't want to be there this morning!" he questioned standing up

"It's still my home, no matter what's happens. It will always be home, I can't stay away forever" I frowned

"No, no, no what's making you go back" he stated

"I want to go home" I lied

I was scared, when my mom says something she always goes through. I don't want to not be allowed at my own home because of what my cousin's doing to me. I've put up with it for years now, what's a little longer.

"Alma, don't shut me out" he sighed stepping towards me "not after we were getting somewhere"

"I-I have to go home" I whispered looking at the ground, "My mom is going to kick me out if I don't go back tonight. I have no where to go if she kicks me out"

He sat me down on the bed next to him and held me close.

"You can stay here, I'll talk to my parents" he suggests

"I can't do that to you" I shake my head "you've already done so much"

"It's alright I want to. I don't want you to be hurt when we can help you" he insists

"You're not going to let me say no, are you" I sigh

"Not a chance" he mumbles "I- I think we should go to the police"

I froze when he said that. Of course I thought about going before but I never went through with it with all the threats he said to me. I've been to afraid to go, but maybe they'll listen to me.

"Are you sure" I ask "what is they don't listen to me"

"They'll listen, it their job to" he replied

"I'm scared, what if he comes back" I confessed

"I won't let that happen, I'll be there with you" he reassured me

"Do you promise?"

"I promise"
