Chapter 5: Henry

Emma Pov:

Regina and my mom wait in David's room for any word about Henry. I decide to walk back upstairs to House's office to see how the differential diagnosis is going. I find House sitting alone at his desk throwing and catching his tennis ball. I snap him out of his trance

"House?"

"Cameron, you're back" 

"Have you found anything"

"The ANA was negative, we're checking kidney function now"

"It still looks the same"

"What"

"Your office, everything around here. It's all the same"

"We have a new white board"

"I just never expected to see you again"

"Do you want to repeat what happened the last time we were alone in this office"

I roll my eyes remembering the time I kissed him "you're still the same you know"

"You're different now"

"Yeah, well a lot has happened to me in such a short time I guess"

"You still look just as hot, I'm still into the blonde"

"Thanks" I say sarcastically

Just then Wilson walks in the room

"Allison?"

"Hi James"

He comes over and gives me a hug

"It's been such a long time, I've missed you"

"I've missed you too Wilson"

"So how've you been, what brings you here"

"I was in an accident actually with some of my family.....we're okay but my.....brother is a patient of Houses"

"I'm sorry, what's wrong"

"He has a fever and no sign of an infection"
House interrupts "and her baby daddy is in surgery with Chase"

Wilson looks at me shocked "is that true"

I glare at House "yes"

"Well congratulations" Wilson says and hugs me again

"Thank you" it's a bit overwhelming I guess

"I've always thought you'd be an amazing mother"

I smile at him sweetly

"Why don't you guys just get married and have a baby then" House says "Wilson has dated nearly everyone in this hospital"

"We've always just been friends House" Wilson says "not like the two of you"

"One date, it was one date a long time ago" I say defensively

"They are all wrong" Thirteen says as she walks into House's office

"What is wrong?" I ask

"Every level, everything is wrong. His heart is deteriorating for no reason and everything is failing" Taub interrupts

"Well do the tests again" House says

"We did" Thirteen says

"Damn, guess I'll have to do them myself."

Wilson goes back to his office. Thirteen, Taub and I follow House to the lab. I pass my dad's room on the way and my mom stops me.

"Emma!" I turn around
