Hey, Soul Sister - Train

After a few more days of ignoring one another, Johnny had finally caved in. He stood before the closed living room door early on a Saturday morning, listening to Juliet's small movements through the scratched and painted wood. It was 10:12am, so he knew that she would already be showered, fed, and dressed.

He was eager to walk in there and apologise to her, so he gingerly opened the door, poked his head in and scanned the room for her, spotted her, and stepped in, closing the door behind him.

Juliet was making herself a warm drink in the kitchen, her back facing him. He could hear her humming a song to herself as she pottered about, Johnny smiling to himself and sighing.

He stood admiring her for an extra few seconds, before hesitantly interrupting her by coughing suddenly, Juliet spinning around and drawing her attention to him.

"Oh! Hello, Johnny. I didn't even hear you come in. Have you just got here?" She was ever so slightly startled by him, Johnny grinning.

"Yeah, I was getting bored up there alone, and I knew you'd be awake." He shrugged, Juliet smiling in return.

"Early bird catches the worm, I suppose. Would you like a drink?" She offered, Johnny stopping to think for a second.

"E-Erm, sure. Thank you."

Although Juliet was a naturally kind person, he was amazed at how nice she was being towards him after the argument.

"Tea or coffee?" She turned around to the work bench and poured the boiling water out of the kettle and into two mugs, one with a teabag in.

"Whatever you're having, please." He sat at the kitchen island, pulling up a stool to the edge closest to the living room.

"Okay, but you have a sugar, right?" She took the lid off of the sugar container and grabbed a teaspoon, Johnny nodding.

"Yeah...don't you?" He questioned as if a spoonful of sugar was the main ingredient of the drink.

"Nah, I'm sweet enough." She joked as she scooped out a tiny heap of sugar onto the spoon and dropped it into his drink, Johnny chuckling.

He noticed she was wearing the Metallica t-shirt that he bought her, accenting her shorts and long socks perfectly.

She placed their steaming beverages on the island, Juliet seating herself opposite Johnny and cupping the hot mug in her hands, still leaving it on the marble surface.

Johnny stared down at the bubbles on the surface of his tea and lost himself in deep thought for a moment, before looking up to Juliet once again.

"Juliet, I'm really sorry about the argument the other day. I don't know why I was so angry with you when-"

"-You have nothing to be sorry for, Johnny. But I do." Juliet stopped him mid-sentence, still with a caring smile on her face.

"No, I was a complete asshole and I shouldn't have spoken to you like I did." He pushed on, shaking his head as he did so.

"It's my fault; I shouldn't have gotten you involved in the first place-"

"-I wanted to be. Honestly." It was apparently his turn to interrupt her, Juliet's cheeks gently blushing for no reason except that Johnny said he wanted to be involved with anything to do with her.

"Thank you for looking out for me. But I'll try and notice trouble and get rid of it before it bites me in the ass first." She was obviously referring to her's and Steve-O's relationship, Johnny nodding.

"I told you I'd always be here." He smiled, Juliet smirking down at her tea and drinking some, Johnny doing the same.

"Oh, yeah I'm sorry for calling you a dickhead too. Heat of the moment." She quickly stopped drinking, Johnny waving off the comment and gulping down the liquid he had in his mouth, placing the mug on the island again.

"Don't worry about it, I get called it a lot. It was actually an honour to get called it by you though." He scoffed, Juliet narrowing her eyes at him in confusion.

"Why?" She questioned.

"Well, you are the Queen of dickheads. I guess you calling me one has given me a promotion." He drank more, watching Juliet's reaction.

"And how did you come to the conclusion that I'm the Queen of dickheads?" She laughed, Johnny explaining himself after moving the cup away from his lips for a second.

"You're a part of the Jackass family, and you're the only girl. That is the reason why you're Queen." It was a fairly logical reason, to be fair, but Juliet still asked more.

"Alright, fine. Who's the King of dickheads?" She raised an eyebrow towards him, Johnny folding his arms and responding.

"We'll have to find that out later."
