CHAPTER 17 - First Date

"Here we are Jeanne"

Oh my gosh.

I looked at the sign and I grinned. It was a Harry Potter themed cafe!! The sign of the cafe read 'Marauder's Hangout' with a broom at the side and a silhouette of a deer, dog and a wolf. I beamed and looked at Simon who was smiling at me.

"I can't believe you! No way!"

"Yes, we're going here for our date. Now, let's go inside"

Simon opened the door for me and I blushed at the gesture. Once we entered the cafe, I gasped at the interior. It was a blur of red, green, yellow and blue and I love it! The whole place was filled with Harry Potter merchandise. Books, movies, clothes, pictures, everything!

The man at the booth who was wearing his Gryffindor scarf saw us and waved at us. The said man looked similar to Simon but instead of piercing eyes, his were expressive and bold. Both of us approached the man and the Gryffindor got out of the booth and greeted Simon,

"Brother, you've finally arrived!"

They hugged each other and the man introduced himself,

"You must be Alfred's soul mate then, I'm Peter Matthew Rielle, you can all me Matt"

"Rielle?" I looked at Simon.

"My older brother" Simon explained. I mumbled an 'oh' and introduced myself,

"I'm Francene Jeanne Taylor, you may call me Jeanne if you must"

"So this is the lucky soul mate, brother? She's pretty"

I blushed at the compliment and a woman with a Ravenclaw scarf scolded Matt,

"Matt stop embarrassing your brother and his soul mate and get your butt back in here! We have customers to serve!"

"Coming Honey!" Matt called back, visibly scared, "Just pick any table and anything from the menu you like, your date today is free of expenses"

He winked and went back to the booth. Simon and I settled for a table that intersected Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Simon sat at the Ravenclaw side while I occupied the Slytherin side. When we got settled in I said,

"I was surprised your brother is a Gryffindor"

"As am I," said Simon, "to think that he's soul mates with a Ravenclaw is also confusing"

"When did this place start?" I queried excitedly.

Simon chuckled and answered,

"A few years back I suppose. Not many know the place but the regulars visit regularly"

"Guess we'll be going here again" I joked which made Simon laugh. I took out my phone and said,

"Let's take a picture!"

We took a picture together and Sir Rielle asked,

"Do you have a scarf with you? If you don't, we could always borrow from here"

"I have my own" I answered as I took out my Slytherin scarf. I wore it and took another selfie with Simon. He suddenly stood up and went over to my side of the table, which made me blush at the sudden closeness. He got his phone out and said,

"It's much easier this way"

I leaned in closer to him as we took a selfie once more. I could smell Simon's cologne as I was near him and damn he smells good.

Matt approached us with a copy of the menu. He sat down in front of us and said,

"Pick anything you like from the menu, drinks, food, dessert, anything! It's all for free"
