Day 115 Pt. 2

"You are?" Shawn whispered a shadow of a smile tugging at his lips

"Yes." I smiled "Is that hard to believe."

"I mean, you're not exactly the kind of girl I would expect to fall for a guy like me I mean you have a pretty heavy guard around your heart."

"Well sometimes," I whispered as I leaned in my lips only a few inches away from Shawn's "There's always that one thing—that one person that you can't resist and they make you drop your guard and shawn you made me drop mine but that's okay because I don't plan on picking it back up anytime soon."

our lips were only inches away from one another's shawn was so close to me I could smell the light smell of mint that lingered on his lips and then it happened his lips pressed up against mine ever so gently he kissed me as if I was a delicacy, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and combed my fingers through his soft brown hair his lips hardened against mine, and for a second I swear I felt sparks flying between us two shawn pulled away opening his eyes up slowly

"That was my first kiss." I whispered "My first real kiss—I tasted what real love feels like—right there on your lips."

shawn placed his lips against my forehead and held them there momentarily before pulling back saying "Me too."

I placed my fingers against my mouth and smiled

"Hey, you two were about to watch The Great Gatsby." shawn and I both turned over our shoulders and Audrey stood pointing towards the front library "Thats if you guys want to join."

"Actually, I think we're just gonna chill out back here for a bit." I spoke my attention focused on shawn "Thanks though."

Audrey nodded before she turned around preparing to walk away "Oh, and um Evelyn?"

"Yes?"

"I'm glad you found what you were looking for." Audrey winked before making her way back towards the front of the library

"What thing is she talking about?"

"Nothing." I shook my head and smiled before sitting back down at the table shawn sat next to me staring blankly at the table in front of him he leaned over pulling a blue pencil from his back pack and pressed it up against the hardwood table

"What are you doing silly?" I questioned

Shawn didn't answer me he only smiled before he began to write on the desk

"I forgot to ask you something."

"What is it?" I laughed as I looked at him

"Okay look I'm trying to make this romantic but it won't work out if you don't write me back." Shawn chuckled

"Fine." I rolled my eyes jokingly pulling a pencil from out of my purse

"What is it?"

"Will you do me the great honor and be my girlfriend yes or yes? circle one."

"What are we in fifth grade?"

"Can you answer the question?"

"I don't know can I?"

"Evelyn!"

"Okay fine the answer is yes—yes I'll be your girlfriend shawn."

We both shifted our attention away from the table and focused in on one another radiant smiles were prominent on each of our faces. shawn grabbed ahold of my hand interlacing our fingers with one another's.

"Eve, I knew you wouldn't say no—you can't resist me." Shawn jokingly stated

"Shawn shut up before I change my mind." I giggled before hitting him on the arm playfully
