This part is dedicated to LuaKitsune. Thanks for the idea! 😊

Kanan sat on his meditation chair, deep in his thoughts. But they weren't good ones.
'You got her killed. He's blind because of you. It's all your fault. You got her killed...'
The same words swirled in Kanan's mind like a tornado. Such pain was pounding in his heart.
He hated himself.
Ezra wouldn't be blind of he'd focused more. If only he'd blocked that blade, he wouldn't be in this fix.
He heard the door open.
"Kanan?" He heard the gentle voice of Hera ask.
"Yeah?" He replied opening his eyes.
"Are you alright? You haven't talked to anyone in days."
Kanan sighed.
"Hera.....I, I don't know what to do. I feel lost."
"Lost? What do you mean?" Hera asked coming in.
"Everything's gone wrong. Ezra.... He's.....He's...."
"Blind" Hera sighed sadly putting her arms around him.
"I understand you must be feeling terrible."
"You have no idea" Kanan whispered, feeling tears rise. "Hey hey, shhh, it's alright Kanan. It'll turn out fine, you'll see. Ezra dosen't blame you for anything" Hera coaxed.
"Really?" Kanan whispered.
"Go talk to him. He's in the common room" Hera said.
Kanan nodded and gave Hera a small smile.
She stood back as he got out of his meditation position an and got up.
He went out the door and into the hall.

Ezra sighed. He was misreable.
His sight was gone. Ahsoka was gone. Everything he wanted seemed to be slipping away from him.
Kanan had locked himself in his room and refused to talk to anyone.
Rex hadn't been seen for days, but Ezra had been told the clone was in his cabin most of the time.
The rest of the Ghost crew were helping him around the base, and even Chopper was sad the boy could no longer see.
It was Hera and Sabine who looked after him the most.
Ezra felt a little embarrassed with all the attention they were giving him, but even he had to agree.
It was nescessary.
And Ahsoka was dead.
He felt a deep pain whenever he thought about her.
She was one of the last Jedi around, and now she was gone.
Ezra sighed again and lay his head on the wall.
PHISS!
Ezra raised his head, but kept his eyes closed. What was the point of opening them?
He recognised the Force signature immediately. (That's how he could tell who was with or who he was talking to.)
"Hey Kanan" he said.
"Hey kid" Kanan replied.
He felt a fresh wave of guilt when he saw the red mark across his boy's eyes and nose.
"How you been?" Ezra asked moving over so Kanan could sit beside him.
"A little on the downside I will admit, but what about you?" Kanan responded sitting beside Ezra.
Ezra bit his lip.
"Honestly? I've been better. Being blind isn't fun at all Kanan. I don't know where I am half the time, and I miss seeing everyone. Especially you."
Kanan's heart ached at the boy's words.
"I miss seeing Sabine's art as well. Has anything new happened?"
"Well, no, not since we got back from Malacore" Kanan replied.
Ezra felt Kanan put an arm round him.
"Kanan? Can I tell you something?"
"Anything you want Ezra" Kanan answered.
"I don't blame you for anything that happened on Malacore. It was my descion to protect you from Maul. Don't beat yourself up okay?" Ezra put his head on Kanan's shoulder.
"None of it was your fault."
Kanan hugged Ezra close and held back tears.
Ezra hugged back, knowing he didn't need his sight to comfort.
The two Jedi stayed in that position for many minutes.
Just holding one another.
They silently agreed.

Comfort is the best medication.

Your welcome for that Kanan and Ezra comfort moment. I wanted to make this happen at some point.
Suggestions are always appreciated.
